Bless Healthy Glow Foundation shade Natural

Hai.

Finally I managed to back. Well, i was busy reading books. I finally got Indonesian version of Stieg Larsson’s The Girl Who Play with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest (I have the later in English, but really it’s too hard for me) thanks to Penerbit Mizan! I sent them email right-on-time so I could get the very last book in their stock, thanks Goddess!

Today I will do a short review for my old sample from Bless Indonesia. Back in July, they also sent me this sample along with Acne and Sensitive skin Series. That time, I have too many breakouts so I keep this baby for later. Again, Thank Goddess, my skin is getting better and better so I could test this Healthy Glow Foundation!

My sample is in 2g sachet, shade Natural. It lasted me for 4 usage, which is nice, means I only need like 0.5g per use.

First time I opened it, I was kinda shock. It’s really yellow, according to my friend, looks like liquid turmeric *LOL. However, I think I need to do swatch test etc etc so I brave my self, put it in my inner arm and do the procedure.  To my surprise, when I blend  it down, the color melt into my skintone. Not too yellow, or too pale, or too gray or too pink, just melt into my skin. Guess that because I have pretty strong yellow undertone.. Then I remembered something that just like this, my Sleek New Skin Revive foundation! It also has strong yellow undertone and match my skin perfectly. However, the packaging is not so helpful and too expensive. So this Healthy Glow Foundation better match for my need considering tube packaging and how easy to get.

indoor lightning, seems not so yellow? Ha.

under the sun, taken with HDR mode. Left unblended, right blended.

To make it easier for you, here’s my conclusion..
Pro :
Easy to get in Indonesia (check your local Century or Guardian, or their website : www.bless.co.id)
Cheap (it’s about IDR 70,000 and even cheaper when it’s on sale. Too bad their website is unaccesible now)
Practical tube packaging
Nice oil control (about 2 hours for my oily skin, in somewhat hot weather)
A little goes long
Light and non irritating
Doesn’t cause me breakout
Powdery finish (practical for non powder user)
No white cast even it has SPF
Has no fragrance

Cons :
No idea of it’s availability outside Indonesia
Lack of shade choice (only natural and beige)
Low coverage. No complaining here, I have nice skin to show *hahaha*
Not so glowy as the name suggested
Low SPF number, sunscreen is still needed.

Well, now I have some foundation I need to finish *oow* so I have no short term plan to purchase it. But later, YES YES YES

Have you tried it? How it works for you?

*** even it’s Indonesian product review, I am still write it in English since I want Indonesian product well-known in International blogging world. Maybe you can get it when travelling to Bali? Hee Hee.

The Beauty Haul

Hello September!

I don't really have any favorite make up product in August. I don't even regularly wearing make up, but yes i do hauling some new product. They're arrived on my doorstep yesterday.

Most of them are "new" product for me.
First, there's MAC Illustrated by Rebecca Moses Nude Lip Bag. It contains of a make up bag, a lipstick, a lip pencil and a lip gloss. I've tried 2 lipstick from MAC and i could say that i love them. But lip pencil and lip gloss from MAC is new for me.

From Tarte, i bought Tarte Maracuja Oil Rollerball Set and Tarte Air brush Powder Foundation. I have tried the sample size of Tarte Maracuja Oil, i like the product but not the packaging. I decided to get rollerball set version since it's easier to use and kinda cheaper.
And since i'm sooo lazy to use liquid foundation, i got an under rated but loved powder foundation from Tarte. I've tried it this afternoon and by the first impression, it's fantastic.

The latest one is mini lip cover from Burberry. I got mine in Antique Rose. It was unplanned but i can't help my self. This sample size is usually given for free for burberry beauty purchase. I haven't visit any Burberry counter yet so i think buying a sample is good option.

I could say that it's so unusual for me to buy a lot of beauty product in same time, spending kinda a lot but well, i need them. And i could happily said i've ordered them before USD raising high ^^

I wish i could force my self to do more review soon..
See ya!

Revlon ColorStay for Oily & Combination Skin in "Sand Beige", a late review.

Hello Blogosphere!

I know it's kinda late for another Revlon ColorStay review. While everyone already move to Revlon Whipped Cream and or Nearly Naked version, i'm stick with the ColorStay one.

But still, i think all of them are different and have their own fans right?

Revlon ColorStay is one of my very first foundation. I bought it about March last year (2012) and i haven't finish even half bottle! And it's only contains 30ml of product, like many foundation out there.

Right, i need to review this one before the product going to be expired X))

it's must be very familiar if you have revlon counter near you ..
The bottle is made from heavy glass while the cap is made from sturdy plastic.

The only active ingredients is titanium dioxide 7.3% which is for sun protection purpose.
However, i never think SPF 6 is enough for your skin. And it's add a slight white cast on your skin.

Revlon ColorStay only have a big hole under it's cap. Nothing else.

It's greasy and not hygienic if you care about that, and impractical.

So there is the product!
Mine is in Sand Beige. The SA just saw my skin in few second and decided this shade is for me. Sometimes it's kinda too white, but when lightly applied, it's works really well.

As you can see in my picture, it does blended so well on my inside arm. Below, i provided my reader with a before - after look to give you idea about coverage :

I'm not confidence enough to post my face before and after here, so i show you the before-after look of my birth marks. They're not that bad, and located on the opposite of my left elbow arm.

I applied Revlon ColorStay heavily and that's the result. Not bad, eh?
And it's stay the whole day on my face, only faded after i wash my face. For a foundation, it has a pretty nice oil control, but i'm still need to prepare my face in manner before wearing this.

I'm kinda like this foundation, but i'm mostly use it for special ocassion because i don't want a medium to full coverage foundation for my daily look, but i will not repurchase it. There's so many foundation i need to try, LOL.

October 2012 Beauty Favorites

I knooow it's been quite late, but i've just have time for taking picture so there it is ^^

October has been a very very very hot month here. All my life is just about sunscreens, i've emptied 3 bottles in October, can you believe it? and i have another one going to it's end. Will post about empties later, now let's going to the favorites

first, on top of my october favorites, there it is .. The Body Shop Lychee Blossom EDT.
i rarely add a perfume into my monthly favorites, but in this crazy hot weather, who doesn't need a perfume? hahaha ..

a description from fragrantica said :
Lychee Blossom is a limited edition for 2010. Energetic and refreshing, this fragrance is composed of litchi, guava, mangosteen, magnolia, litchi blossom,

I know, there's many people doesn't like this scent. Even most of my friend found it out of their taste, but i really loves it. It's going to be sweet scent on me, in it's top-middle-base notes, anytime. Just a lil bit stronger in middle notes, and last 6-7 hours on me. Amazing eh?
Sadly, it's an limited edition item :(

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock
It's not my very favorite one in normal situation, but i need more protection, and it has the highest SPF level among my sunscreen collection.
It's not very good thought, it's made my face very greasy at 10 AM (i am doing my skincare + make up at 7.00 AM) but a face paper can fix it.

Clean and Clear Oil Control Sheet (unpictured)
it's my helper, really, i can't leave it wherever i go. That's why i forgot pictured it, it was in my bag.

Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow SPF 25 & Sleek New Skin Revive Foundation
in this hot weather, i don't want any thick foundation on my face (the only exception is on special ocassion) so the lightweight one is being my best friend.
Sleek new skin revive review & swatch here
Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow review & swatch here

Benefit Porefessional
Lightweight foundation means low coverage, so i have to use a primer to make my skin seems better. My choice is benefit porefessional because it's in the biggest tube i have
>.<"
It's good enough thought, and lightweight too ^^
Benefit Porefessional review & swatch here

Biore UV Perfect Face Milk SPF 50 PA +++
It's probably the best sunscreen for oily skin, especially in hot weather. It gives matte finish, no greasy feeling, and easy to absorb. SPF 50 and PA+++ is also best in situation.
Biore UV Perfect Face Milk SPF 50 PA+++ review here

Too Faced Summer Time Sexy Eye Shadow
i was too lazy to do any make up, but when i do, it's going to this palette. I was like obsessed, trying to find a way to make the shades combined well on me. I have to say it's failed. I dont know, maybe it's too hard for me -___-"
Too Faced Summer Time Sexy Eye Shadow review & swatch here

Benefit Bella Bamba
err.. simply, just because it gives a natural summer flush. I love it!

Daiso Eyebrow Pencil # Black
i was read somewhere, that eye brow is a must do for woman.
It's okay if you're not wearing blush, eye shadow, or even foundation, but make sure you do your brows!
This one is very cheap, only RM 5, and works wonder. Make sure you got it once you get it ^^

Skinfood Buckwheat loose powder
last month, pressed powder is not my thing.
Skinfood Buckwheat gives a nice coverage and the oil control is quite good.
>> truthfully, i need to finish it faster .. i want to get another loose powder *LOL

Nature Republic 92% Aloe Vera
an item for many jobs, just read my review here and you'll find out why.

how pretty they're! (ノ´∀`*)ノ

if you're indonesian residence, a blogger or not, and wanna join a christmas swap, kindly visit Shasha's blog and fill the requirement. I've joined.. ^^

thanks for reading, and kindly follow me if you like ;)

♥ September 2012's favorites ♥

i knew this is new to my blog, but i've thinking about it since a long time. My favorites product might mean nothing for you, but as i love reading another bloggers favorites product, i decided to write about mine too. Hope you like it! ^^

My favorites are mostly from my newest purchase. But what can i say? i wanted them for long time and finally get it ~ so nice :)

What are they?

urban decay naked palette 2
shade # half baked in my palette is a little bit scratched by my nail because i was in hurry, and the closure won't work well :(
i love this palette so much, really, it's effortless (you can't go wrong!), very pigmented and long lasting, even without primer.

benefit how to look best at everything (without porefessional, i put my dandelion ultra plush gloss there XD)
truthfully, this box is too big for my make up pouch, i planned to move "hello flawless" powder into another box (maybe feelin dandy) so it would be easier for me to carry them together.
I love benefit ultra plush lip gloss, it doesnt like any other lip glosses i've tried. It's soft, not sticky, has good fragrant and leaving my lips with very smooth feeling (☆▽☆)
definately a good item-to-go, right? that's why i put it together with the kit, instead of porefessional.

~ read full review about the kit here

benefit high beam
last month, i would prefer using benefit dandelion, but i found high beam gives longer brightening effect and easier to carry around. Dandelion is way too big to my pouch. Maybe i'll use it more often after i depot it XD

benefit powderazzi
i love all shades in this palette, especially coralista (for blush) and hoola (for contouring). They work really great together!
~ full review & swatch here

skinfood banana concealer
i love to use skinfood banana concealer to add coverage, since benefit boing alone is not enough for me. And i need to finish it faster .. haha ..

urban decay stash # rehab
it's another helpful product from urban decay.
Whenever i'm in hurry -no time for primer, e/s and brushes etc- i'd use this one. I love how pretty the shade is, how easy to use and how well it stay on my lid.

daiso eye brow pencil # black
If you have daiso in your town, go and take this one. I bought it for only RM 5 (or about idr 15,000) and it works like magic!
i have a quite bold eye brows and never think to add more by eye brow pencil, but after shaping my eyebrows, i think i might need a helper to support new shape i got. I put no expectation for a very cheap product like this (i know, shame!) but i can't be happier with this one. Review coming soon ^^

sleek highlighter and contour brush
i kneew it's discontinued item, and i love love it so much (*/∇\*)
i almost do my blush and contour with it. It used to come with Sleek Contouring Kit, but they've took the brush out of set.
it helps me use blush and contouring, take the good amount of pigment and blend like dream. I know, unbelievable right?

my new "how to look best at everything kit" XD

the last part is skincare favorites, they're :

nature republic 92% aloe vera
someone has email me, asking where to get it in Jakarta, and so sorry i doesn't provide a good answer that time, since i didn't put enough attention for it, but now i'm telling my readers that nature republic has opened their new store in Lippo Karawaci, Tangerang.
you can read a post about it in Kindinia's blog :)

as i said in my review about 92% aloe vera, i love it so much and definately will repurchase it (it's only 49,000 idr in their counter!). My latest find is it's work GREAT for face moisturizer, wouldn't oxydize, and add more coverage! crazy right?

neutrogena norwegian hand cream
it's small but does a great job for my chapped hands and feet!
the direction on product said it also can be use as lip conditioner, but no, i have another product for it XD
and since it's in tube form, it's more hygienic than my other hand cream ..

what's your september favorites?
will it be continue on october?
let's just see .. ^^

Benefit How to Look Best at Everything (Lots of Pict!)

Benefit is my new favorite brand, i got some product of them and sooo in love with it!

Benefit How to Look Best at Everything is one of sephora's exclusive product, according to sephora, there's product description :

What it is:
A four-piece flawless complexion makeup kit exclusive to Sephora.

What it does:
Benefit’s custom skin perfectors come together in this convenient kit to give you an even, luminous complexion. Blend away imperfections and minimize the appearance of pores with the must-haves in this collection.

This set contains:
- 0.25 oz The POREfessional
- 0.23 oz Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow SPF 25 PA+++ in "Cheers To Me" Champagne (light kit); "Cute as a Bunny" (medium kit); "I'm Haute for Sure" (deep kit)
- 2 x 0.05 oz BOI-ING in 01 and 02 (light kit); 03 and 04 (medium kit); 04 and 05 (deep kit)
- 0.14 oz "Hello Flawless!" in "Me, Vain?" Champagne (light kit); "I'm so Money!" (medium kit); "I'm so Glamber" (deep kit)

I chose Light kit since i think i would fit using shade champagne (i am about nc/nw 25 in mac, using revlon sand beige, maybelline sand, sleek sand and rimmel true ivory for reference) and yeah it's true!

This kit, as raved by some beauty gurus, are one of best way to try some benefit product in affordable price. I got it for idr 350,000 during sephora 20% sale last august. I know it's a lil bit more expensive than the original price (usd 30) but it's all worth if you count shipping cost from USA *LoL

no, i only got 1 kit :p
the one left is the box and the right one is the kit
behind the box is picture of product inside while behind the kit is looks like book's cover

the insider (♡∀♡)
they also provided a plastic separator with an announcement to remove the tray so we can use the box to keep our treasure ☆▽☆
so nice!
i would try it ..

i took out the tray and keep the minis inside, lovely!
i do have plan to keep some of my benefit product inside so it's easier to carry them around, but maybe later, after i feel satisfy enough with this kit :D

well, let's see what's inside ..

first, benefit porefessional

then, benefit oxy wow foundation in cheers to me champage
i really want to try this since it's launched but it think it's too pricey for me (and i have lots of foundation) so this is really a good way to try it! finally!

third, benefit boing 01 and 02
i love their idea co make it in compact! i dont want the powder fly and make it dirt..
also it can be carry alone without palette or kit

here's back side of boing
LOL
i found it funny to see how pans glued into a compact (゚ε゚ )

and it's the last one, hello flawless in "me, vain?" champagne
i wasn't expect it would be my favorite product in kit, it gives low to medium coverage, doesn't break me out and match my skintone very very well.

wanna see how it works on me? (:

my bare face
please ignore my red eye, i took this picture right after i washing my hair
.. and no, no full face, i got a looot of breakout from last week :(

here's my full size porefesional
i'm not using the one in kit since i have this one :)

see?
it does help smoothen my skin and makes my pores less visible, but i think i have another primer works better than this one :(

then add foundation, but before it let's see how it's on my hand ..

after blended,
product is on left side of the marks, but still, it's hard to find since it's match my skintone too well

and here's how it's look on my face ..

yeah, my skin but better!
so sorry for blur picture, i didn't notice it before :(

third, the concealer ..
i use either 01 or 02 alone or mixed them together.
(that's sonia kashuk's concealer brush from pink cancer brush set if you want to know :p)

well, it's doesn't works really good on my acne scar. On some of them yes, but in most of them, no.
i put high expectation on this but .. i have to say my journey to find perfect concealer for me is still on ..

then the powder ..

i found for the first time, a benefit brush that really works!
it could take the powder well and won't hurt my skin, good job, benefit!

and no, i took no picture of the powder on my face since it's not noticable, my face is looks the same as after i use boing ( ・_・)
maybe it's just because of my camera?
..

oh yea, it does have a mirror!
just take the tips and tricks paper and you could find the mirror
otherwise, you can cut the paper and get the mirror

now into swatches ..

what i love about it ..

porefessional : does smoothen my skin, makes it easier to glide the foundation, provided matte finish and add few coverage
oxy wow # cheers to me champagne : my skin but better foundation, no white cast, buildable coverage, doesn't cause breakout, medium to full coverage and the pump is just great!
boing 01 and 02 : good staying power, compact packaging
hello flawless "me, vain?" champagne : medium to full coverage, no whitecast, match my skin very very well
great value!
brush thats works!
it does have mirror inside
i love how we can reuse the box ❤

what i don't like about it ..

overrated porefessional, don't use it if you avoid silicone based product
i found oxy wow foundation faded after 5-6 hours (revlon colorstay faded after 7-8 hours)
oxy wow doesn't get SPF
boing can't help with some of my acne scar :(
hellow flawless powder in this kit isn't in travel friendly side
hard to find in my country (oh well, what's not?)

overall, i would repurchase again if i can't find anything to get on sephora sale (ノ´∀`*)ノ

thanks for reading,
