My 13 Beauty Products for 2013

Happy New Yeaar!

It's been late, yes, but this is my first post in 2014! Yippie!
.. but sadly, i can't provide good pict for this post. I'm trying, but since i'm catching a cold, i only could took one (yes, only one) good picture for this very post.

If you live in Indonesia, you'd know how bad the weather is. Everyone i knew, or at least someone in their family, has got a flu, cough or both since December. I guess now is just my turn T_____T

I saw many bloggers has made their version of 2013 favorites, so there's mine ^___^

i think i haven't reviewed all of them, yes?

Palettes
Urban Decay Naked 2
The famous one, it's my choice whenever i have no idea what shades i want to use.
My favorites are Tease, Half Baked, Snakebite and Suspect.
Too Faced Loves Sephora (15th years anniversary palette)
My favorite one from Too Faced. My only complain is the bulky packaging that i'm worried to bring on travelling. It's tin-can packaging (just like the Naked 2's packaging) with no mirror, but comes with mini TFSI and mini blush brush that i've took out from the palette because i'm afraid they'd make some dent on pans.
This palette is lovely. I know i haven't write about it but soon.
My most favorite is Who's your poppy? blush while the second and third are Sun Bunny bronzer and Jer Jer eye shadow.

Complexions
Laura Mercier Compact Tinted Moisturizer
Mine is in shade "nude". It's giving a medium coverage and the shade is just match my skintone. I found the liquid versions are not as good as this one.
Tarte Provocateur Pressed Mineral Powder SPF 8
I've raved about it here, and has been hit it's pan. Now i'm on the second pan and still loving it.

Blushes
MAC Cream Soda Powder Blush
My favorite one! Seriously, you wouldn't know until you've tried it yourself!
a perfectly perfect flush, if you know what brush for it!
i use ecotools bamboo blush brush and they're amazing together.
Read my review, swatch and comparison here.
The Balm Instain Powder Blush Houndstooth
My second favorite. It's pretty mauve-y shade that can be use sheer or build-up. It's also neutral and i found great for cold or warm weather. The staying power is good too.
Read my review, swatch and comparison here

Tools
Ecotools Bamboo Powder Blush
This is the perfect match for sheer blush!
Even better since it's synthetic (easier to wash, soft, and animal friendly) and cheap. Also I never found any shedding!
Real Techniques Contour Brush
Sadly this one is not available out of set. It's part of core collection set.
I found it's great for blush and contour (as the name suggest) and very soft.
For me, it's won over the blush brush one.

Eye Liner
K-Palette 24 Hours Eye Liner
Mine is in Dark Brown. I found it's very practical and easy to use than the one in pencil form. I have it since 2012 and still good. But don't wish it would stay for 24 hours (like the claim) without eye primer.

Eye Brow
Skinfood Choco Eye Brow Powder Cake 01
I'm a simple girl with eye brow. I stopped plucking my eyebrow for now, and only filling the "tail" part. Skinfood match my eye brow color nicely and i like the brush they provided.
Read my review and swatch here.

Lips
Benefit Ultra Plush Lip Gloss in Dandelion
Actually, i don't need any other lip gloss after this one. I like the texture and scent, also it has a very soft color which i like. Mine is only sample size but i dont think i've use more than half of it.
Read my review and swatch here.

Oil
Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil
It's a very versatile product, you can use it eeeverywhere!
I use it for acne, moisturizing (any dry area) and for hair.
It's the one i've who always stay in my make up pouch.

Fragrance
Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh
I adore many of Marc Jacobs fragrance, but this one took my heart.
It's fresh yet sweet and has refreshing effect for me. I haven't decide if i want the full size bottle (since it's so expensive) because i've used about 3/4 of my rollerball sized.
I've reviewed about it together with three others here.

Have a happy 2014, and always be awesome!
cheers,

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Baked, Mildew, Asphyxia, Ransom and Whiskey

Happy Haloweeen!

But no, there's no make up tutorial (i am not an expert), just another product review as usual ^^

As we know, Urban Decay's most popular product is their eye make up line, the palette (especially naked and book of shadow), eye primer (Urban decay primer potion aka UDPP), and of course, eye liner! the glideeee on!

I was so in love with Whiskey, which discontinued already (i got mine from Roller Girl set, review here)  so i decided to give these 4 a try. They're a part of UD 15 year anniversary 24/7 glide on pencil set from last year's collection, as you can see at the middle of product.

ransom, mildew, baked and asphyxia has glossy end while whiskey has matte end.

the most rarely used glide on is mildew.
Strange, because i bought all four because of there's mildew inside.. it's just not as pretty as i thought it would be on me (╥﹏╥)/

 now into swatches..

baked described as "golden bronze" (beautezine), i love to use it as under-eye liner, eyeliner and as a base for another gold eye shadow. It makes shadow's color stronger and harder to fade. This one probably my favorite one.

baked supposed to be in permanent range but i can't find it in UD's website anymore. Maybe they've discontinued it? ≧△≦

mildew (permanent) described as "deep green" (UD), for me, it's a very deep green.
i wasn't expect it would be like this.. i think it would be more like mildew eye shadow color, a lil bit lighter and softer.
wearing it as eye liner makes me looks like a witch ≧△≦
i have to sharpen it very well, so it would line thin-ly on my eye.

asphyxia is the hard one to type, described as "fuschia with violet shimmer". As long as i know, it's not in permanent range.
When i saw asphyxia's swatch everywhere, i dont think i'd like it. But once i have it, i love it!
It's maybe not very great as eye liner, but as eye shadow base, or use it alone on lid, it's very great.
Once i used it in very hot weather, on busy day, and it stay for about 8 hours without faded. Almost all of my make up is gone, but Asphyxia stay on it's place. Score!

ransom (permanent) described as "violet with hot pink reflect" (beautezine) and "bright iridescent purple" (ud's website). For me, they're both right on it's own way ;)

ransom is my 2nd least favorite. It's pretty i know, but blue-family rarely be my favorite eye make up.

whiskey is another discontinued shade from urban decay. Temptalia described it as "medium-dark brown with warm, orange undertones and a faint sheen". It's my favorite eye liner make up, rarely fade and just good as complement for my naked 2 eye shadow, any of them :)

i swatch them together too ~
aren't they beautiful? 。◕‿◕。

another swatch with different lightning ^^

pro's :
travel friendly (remember that i just bring 4 of them when travelling?)
long lasting
waterproof
a lil bit smudging, so there's no too-fake liner
lot's of shades available
no scent
there's no crazy glitter
as long as i see, there's no mineral oil in ingredient list (UD web)
doesn't irritating
good pigmentation

con's :
pricey if you buy it out of set
faded more easily when use as under-eye liner

I know many blogger said nyx slide on is better than Ud's glide on. But i used to have nyx slide on # pink jewel, and it's wont smudge even a lil bit, makes it seems too fake on me. I gave it to my sister, as her emergency make up. I love UD glide on more ^^

have you got Ud glide on 24/7 eye pencil?
what do you think about it?

thanks for reading and follow me if you like ^^

the natural, lovely and vintage Roller Girl!

Hi Readers! Happy Easter!!

I love palette so much, much more than any other make up things, and this is the one from Urban Decay, the famous brand in palette land.

Roller Girl palette is not a new one, UD already put it in Sale section for only $13! it's really a good time to get it before they gone! I lost my chance to get Feminine palette while i'm waiting it to be cheaper again. They're all gone.. T^T

For $13 product, you get sooo much value : 4 eye shadows, 1 glide on pencil and 1 lip junkie lip gloss. UD usually sell their eye shadows for $18, glide on pencil for $ .. and lip glosses for $19. Awesome, right?

the size
  • Roller Girl Palette5.5 cm x 13 cm x 1,7 cm
  • Eye Shadow(s) : 2 cm x 2 cm, @1g
  • Lip Junkie : 3.6 ml
  • 24/7 Glide on Pencil : 11 cm (with cap), 9.5 cm (without cap), 0.8 g

this is my favorit picture. The lip junkie looks sooo beautiful ..

this is a beautiful bright pink shade, with a cool sensation in lip .. you're gonna love this, seriously :)

Shade definition :
  • woodstock : hot pink eye shadow with subtle fuschia shimmer, but it's not as bright as in pan. In eye, it's beautiful and lovely. If you afraid of this color, you can use a matte taupe eye shadow below.
  • verve : pale champagne with subtle shimmer, good for inner corner and highlight.
  • suspect : golden brown eyeshadow with subtle shimmer, i like to use it as a crease color.
  • darkhorse : dark brown eye shadow with subtle shimmer, good for lid and outer crease.
the texture is so soft, pigmented, and super blendable. I also love the glide on pencil, so soft, pigmented and with primer, it doesn't smudge easily.

Overall

I was bought it only for looking for what people raved about Urban Decay's palette, and now i got it. They're so worth the price (especially during sale, which they do oftenly), and help the beginners like me look good in small effort.

Thanks for Reading ^^
