First Impression : Etude White Moistfull First Essence

Annyeong ~

Several months ago, when i purchased korean beauty product, i got Etude White Moistfull First Essence in sample size. I never noticed about it before, so i give it a try.

Etude claimed it as following :
Etude House Moistfull White First Essence is an especially formulated moisturizer that keeps the skin perfectly hydrated while locking in moisture.  It gives the skin protection from external irritants as well without causing pore blockages or excessive sebum production.

it feels like water, just a tad thicker

On me, this sample size is enough for 2 times used. I used it in afternoon and evening in the same day.

What i noticed are :

  • light feeling like i'm not using anything
  • quick absorbed
  • doesn't make my face more oily
  • kinda moisturizing
  • doesn't break me out

I didn't notice any whitening effect as i think it supposed to be (because the name saying "white moistfull" even etude doesn't claimed that). And it's not really special.
I think i wouldn't buy the full size bottle. Perhaps i can find something outside that works better.

Review Etude Happy Tea Time Milk Tea Cleansing Cream

Hi, i'm back with another Etude review ~ (oh well it's always happen to me, after reviewing one brand, i want to review another product of them, or the same type of product, just different brand >__<) ..

Etude Happy Tea Time Milk Tea Cleansing Cream (or i'd write it as MTCC) is my very first cleansing cream btw, because i used to believe that cleansing cream is only for dry skin. I have an oily skin so i never give them enough attention. But then i was disappointed with my innisfree cleansing cream, and it's really hard to find my favorite cleansing oil (it's kose softymo's) so i decided to try a cleansing cream.

as another Etude product, MTCC has a cute princess-y design, in this case, a teapot :)
(oh i think i've thrown the clear box, so sorry >.<")

MTCC comes in a milk-tea-color plastic jar. No spatula included.

Here's how the insider look like. There's a plastic separator between bottom and top packaging.

The product is quite runny and has a fragrance. It's NOT milk nor tea scent (which i wish it has), doesn't bother me, but if you dont like to use a fragranced product, please skip this.

Let's see how effective MTCC is :

I've put some product to test :
sleek eye shadow + etude proof 10 eye primer, revlon colorstay foundation, nyx soft matte lip cream and maybelline eye liner.
The one on the right is MTCC itself.

Here i lightly spreaded the MTCC to another product i tested.

And that's how the condition after few swipe.
My hand seems slightly oily but all the products has gone.

The condition after i washed my hand with cleansing foam.
LoveLoveLove it!
Amazing, doesn't it?

I love the result, but sadly, i dont know if MTCC does makes me breakout or not since i have some trouble on my skin since i came back from South Korea. It's breakout badly and the redness going kinda worse.
But no offense, because i'm not only changing my cleansing product, but also my toner and moisturizer. So i dont really know which one is causing it.

The only thing i dont like about MTCC is the jar packaging. It's lovely and cute but not in hygienic side.. Even if Etude does provide it with spatula, i feel so lazy to take the spatula in my bathroom. Oh well, nothings perfect right?

see you in another review ~
bye for now!

Review Etude House Sweet Recipe Baby Choux Base 02 Berry Choux

Hi Korean-Beauty Lover!
This cute little baby is the new favorite of mine.. it's etude sweet recipe baby choux base!
what is choux anyway?
Choux pastry, or pâte à choux (pronounced: [pɑt a ʃu]), is a light pastry dough used to make profiterolescroquemboucheséclairs, French crullersbeignetsSt. Honoré cake, Indonesian kue sus, and gougères. - Wikipedia
no doubt, etude named it "choux" because of the texture.. so light, so soft, so fluffy and smells so good! if anyone know what perfume smell like etude's sweet recipe baby choux base 02, please let me know!

this frosted glass jar seems like a jar of jam.. so pretty ~

i bought mine in Seoul, that's why it has a price tag in hanggeul ..

what it claimed, how to use and the cautions.. no ingredients here.

etude provided this baby with a mini plastic spoon, for anyone who refuse to dip their finger inside.

The Choux!!
very light, soft, fluffy and smells good .. like raspberry and strawberry, very very yummy.
(so sorry for the repeated description, i've just sooo in love with it!)

swatch on my hand

lightly spreaded.. can you see the difference?
it gaves a natural glow, not really change my skintone, just glowy and brighten.
as a base, it's also help to make my big pores less visible. Since i doesnt like to be fully covered by my base/foundation, i only use 1 spoon and get a medium coverage by that. And perhaps thats why i doesnt get the whitening effect, hehe ..

What to love about it?
cute packaging - no doubt!
medium coverage
SPF 25 PA ++ (makes it can be work as tinted sunscreen too)
good texture
smells so yummy! wouldn't disturb you~
makes my face glow instantly~
has a slight oil control
it's not a limited edition product, yay!

What to dislike?
sometimes it's not very travel friendly
it does cause me breakout

shade available :
01 mint choux - to hide redness
02 berry choux - for brightening purpose
03 peach choux - for brightening purpose, but for darker skintone

I got lots of redness on my face, but the mint choux one seems so hard to blend with my skintone.. makes me looks so pale. So i decided to get berry first :D

ps. SPF 25 PA++ doesnt really help if you're stay outdoor all day long. And dont forget to reapply if you use it as tinted sunscreen!

Korean Haul Posted ~

Hi Readers!!

Long time no blogging eh? so sorryyy because i was soo busy last month, and i've been visited South Korea, the skincare heaven, for 6 days :D

i've stayed in Jeju island for 2 nights, 1 night in Seoraksan (Mt. Sorak), 2 nights in Seoul and 1 night in airplane >.<" hahaha ..

it was nice, but i dont have lots of time for shopping because i joined a group tour, and they're only shopping in Seoul.. between visiting some tourist place and others ~.~"

sooo what i've got in Seoul? only few items .. because i've found out the price in Korean beauty store are almost the same with price you got through pre-order system .. only about 20,000-30,000 idr more expensive than the price in korean store for small items. Liquid items get more margin yes, but still it's well worth!

First, it's about mask.I bought 3 mask from the Face Shop for a good price because i got a discount coupon. I think it's about 21,000 won for 3 masks ..
and the mask from tony moly was a free gift for entering TM's store in Myeongdong. I bought those party lover eye brow powder that time ^^

then from Etude Store.. It was the most crowded beauty store near there! almost every spot were taken @___@
i bought Etude BB dation special kit (not sure why.. but seems nice), bebe foot mask (since i think my foot need it), happy tea time cleansing cream in milk tea (smells good, good price and nice packaging) and sweet recipe baby choux base in Raspberry (I was wanting it for so long so i can't stop my hand from reaching it).. the pink pen and play etude box (contains of cotton pads) were free gift ^^,

from Skinfood Store.. only few product since they doesn't have Tea Tree Toner & Emulsion i'm looking for.. Skinfood store in Myeongdong is quite far from Etude and TM's .. I walked alone and kinda flustered, trying to find Skinfood ..
i bought an eyebrow trimmer, choco eyebrow powder cake (smells like chocolate! and works wonder!), and fresh cellery cleansing tissue.. and i got 2 sample :)

There's also a nice store there, named RedEye and they're selling woman's stuff.. Clothes, accesorries, bag, wallet and so much else.. i only have few time there, and only bought 2 pairs of earrings and a ring with a tree on top .. very pretty!
they're quite affordable too ~

aaannnddd .. just it!
doesn't much right? ~

but even i enjoyed my trip to south korea, i dont think i'd like to go back there.. because it's expensive!
south korea is the second most expensive country to visit in Asia (the first one is Japan, my tour leader said) .. a coffee machine selling coffee for about 400 won and the coffee in minimart is about 1,000 won (while in indonesia it's only about idr 5,000 aka the half price). Snack is about 1,000 to 3,000 won .. and food is about 5,000 won up .. LOL ..

dont get me wrong, you have to visit south korea someday.. they're worth to visit, but only once .. hehe ..

have a nice day! :)

Etude Proof 10 Eye Primer, Love It but ..

Hi Lovelies!

As eye shadow user, eye primer is an important things to complete your make up life. It's not only avoid your eye shadow from creasing and make it last longer, but it also help to make your eye shadow shades more pop.

In beauty-blogger area, there Urban Decay Primer Potion (UDPP) and Too Faced Shadow Insurance (TFSI) who get most attention, but they're on expensive side.. So let's try to find something else .. Mine is an affordable eye primer : Etude Proof 10 Eye Primer. I think it's about IDR 70,000 (approx. USD 8).

i think i've lost the box .. haha .. so no pic of it's box here.
as long as i remember, it's a royal blue box with picture of etude models wearing diving glass XD

i think i bought mine last March, but it's seems like i bought it several years ago, because it's name is faded .. and the down side is cracken >.<"

this bottle is made from plastic, i dont have any idea how could it cracken.. i dont remember if i ever drop this one.

the etude label in korean words is still okay.

Like UDPP, Etude Proof 10 Eye Primer come with a wand, like the one you could find in lip gloss.

etude proof 10 eye primer swatched alone

if you blend it well, it will turns into transparant, make a pretty canvas for your eye shadow. But it dry very fast, and if you can't blend it fast enough, it will turn into light beige, which is bad if your skintone is fairer or deeper than light beige. Trouble, trouble, trouble.

etude proof 10 eye primer REALLY can pop your eye shadow shades.. see my picture above?
"mermaid" shade in my Too Faced Summer Time Sexy Eye shadow palette won't show up on my skin, and not as pretty as it supposed to be. Using Etude Proof 10, that problem solved!

Urban Decay eye shadow is so good in my opinion. They're good for day use without primer. But for night use, when you wish you have brighter eyes, primer is essential (even if you don't need to make them stay longer though).

here i did some test of waterproof-ness, i splash them with water and rub them .. shades with Etude Proof 10 Eye Primer stay well but the others without primer are faded.

Overall, i LOVE etude proof 10 eye primer, but their packaging is not my favorite. The name faded to easily and the bottle is not strong enough (maybe i've dropped it, and it meet something sharp, idk). Oh, and i wish it's shorter since long cap is a lil bit pretty but it's taking place.

have you try it? what do you think about it? ^^

Etude Lovely Cookie Blush, review & swatch

night, Ladies ..

i am finally got Indonesian Beauty Blogger certification, i am qualified now! that's why i finally add IBB's logo on my sidebar(⌒▽⌒) *dance dance*

Truthfully, i want to celebrate with a review of indonesian product, but i haven't edit those pictures (i have tons of pic on my waiting list) so let's do with this one o(`ω´*)

Let me introduce you to my very first blush on .. Etude Lovely Cookie Blush # 03, but this is the old one. I bought it about 2 years ago, still very good until now *emotionally sigh-ing* .. i only do it with powder form product, if it's cream or liquid, i am sure i've thrown it away! hahaha ..

My sister, who never ever ever have her own make up product (dont even care to get one) once let me do her make up before she go to her friend's birthday party. And she was shocked when she saw my blush, she scream, "can't you get a normal blush like another people do?!?" .. i laughed, "what's wrong? what's normal blush color?" and she said, "pink of course!" haha .. But she let me put this un-normal blush color to her cheeks, not weird of course ;)

it's might old, but still very very pretty.
The design is still the same with the new one, and still, like etude usually do with their product, a princessy design .. ❤

This case is made from plastic. The top part is clear so we can see what's inside while the bottom part is colored close to blush's color. In this case, carrrot's orange.

Since it's an old blush, it's also use the old number. As long as i remember, when i purchased this, there's only 3 colors available : soft pink, pink and orange. I purchased the orange one, number 3 (ノ´∀`*)ノ

Etude also provided a cute soft puff to use with this cute blush. So, no weird blush brush now, it's puff ~

~ closer look to pan ~

i rarely, really really rare using it. You're still able to see the matrix on the border side.. not because it's unpretty, but because i was just start my blush-on junkiness on April i think .. before it, blush is so not my kind of thing .. hahaha ..

For me, this shade is between pink, coral and orange .. I am not very good describing color, but it has lots of pink to be orange blush, while there's also lots enough orange to make it out of pink blush range. And it's not coral thought. It has soft micro shimmer which provides fresh look in my opinion. Matte blush is not my favorite this time..

The best thing about Etude Lovely Cookie Blush i own is it's not oxydize, the color remains the same in fourth hour after i applied. It's not very long last thought, but it's okay to bring it aroung since it's travel friendly and accomodate with a soft puff to apply. It's blendable so puff is just more than enough.

For me, it's 3.5 out of 5.

i am not pay enough attention to the new etude lovely cookie blush, but i think it's close to # 05 (apricot pudding) than 04 (carrot cheese cake).. or maybe in between ..

do you have etude lovely cookie blush?
what do you think of them?

thanks for reading, and follow me if you like ^^

"I'm your wonder woman for your pore", Review Etude Wonder Pore Freshner

Etude mostly known for having a cute princess-y packaging, but for this one, it's not very cute nor princess-y, unique but the most attracting point is their positioning as "wonder woman for your pore" ~~ whoaaa ..(*/∇\*)

don't you think how nice is it?

Now Wonderpore line has some product for keeping your pore wonderful, but i only have this one, my favorite toner .. Etude Wonderpore Freshener (ノ´∀`*)ノ.

it's wonderpore freshener's outside packaging. The box is made from plastic, a sturdy one.

it's explain about product, how to use, direction of use and cautions. Some part writen in english but most of them writen in korean.

Ingredients are writen in right side of box, here it is :
water, chrysantellum indicum extract, alcohol denat, glycerin, butylene glycol, glycereth-28, betaine, sea water, PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil, sodium hyaluronate, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, citrus medica limonum (lemon) fruit extract, cymbopogon schoenanthus extract, oryza sativa (rice bean) extract, prunus mume fruit water, uncaria gambir extract, nelumbo nucifera flower extract, cinnamomum zeylanicum extract, sanguisorba officinalis root extract, pelargonium graveolens extract, taraxacum officinale (dandelion) leaf extract, chrysantemum morifolium flower extract, chamaecyparis obtusa water, pulsatilla koreana extract, disodium edta, phenoxyethanol, caprylyl glycol, ethylhexyl-glycerin, 1,2-hexadienol

it doesn't contains paraben, so it's safe if you avoid parabens, but it does contains alcohol denat, in case you have dry skin and want to avoid alcohol in product you use :)

another good thing about this product is it can help you to fight DEMODEX!
Demodex is a mites, live in face and hair, eating beauty cream, and have a sharp claw that can rub our skin (causing acne and dullness).
more info can be found in wikipedia.

the bottle ~
it's made from plastic too, and since mine is in 500ml size, it's quite tall and fat :p

here's our wonderpore woman's job desk!
7 task to do alone .. *LOL

here's the sweetest quote :
i'm your wonder woman for your pore
lovely!

Unlike another, Wonderpore has unique pump. It's good if you like to bring your big bottle for travelling (it's save and easy to bring) and nice too for home use (no need to take the bottle and turn it down).

there's product going out (☆▽☆)
it's unscented, looks and feels like water. Sometimes i think i've thrown some money just to get an ordinary water *LOL

You can put your cotton ball on it and push ~
or you can just pust it and use it without cotton ball ~
or you can depot it into a spray bottle and use it to refresh your skin ~
or put it in empty mask sheet and use it ~

i found it work best to :
refresh skin during hot day
makes my innisfree jeju pore clay mask (my review) work better (a lil bit dryer in my face compared to innisfree jeju volcanic pore toner)
oil control *yay!
deep cleaning my pores (i found my cotton ball takes dirt i can't take by my double cleansing process)
i think it does help to reduce acne (demodex fighter!)

what i dont like about it :
contains alcohol (i think it doesnt good for long term of use)

it's not really expensive though, especially if you buy in big size (they have small size, 200ml and 500ml size).
product available in some online store or in Etude House store near you, but it's cheaper if you could find it in online store.

thanks for reading and follow me if you like it ^^

Lesson of the day :
Wherever you go, don't forget to pack carefully!
