Himalaya Purifying Neem Foaming Facial Wash

I’m so thankful that for Himalaya Herbal to be available in Indonesia. They have my favorite face cleanser from Nimba (neem / turmeric) range. It’s aimed to prevent acne, but not just that, it’s also free from Paraben, SLS/SLES, and Phtalates. I am not 100% avoiding parabens but I’m happy for another paraben-free product. As long as it doesn’t contain more threatening ingredient, of course.

I currently using Himalaya Purifying Neem Foaming Facial Wash, one of my favorite from range. However, I think people with normal to dry skin wouldn’t like it since it’s tend to drying skin. Sometimes, when my skin went drier due to season change, I’d stop using this and move into another cleanser. But if you constantly have oily skin, like I used to be, I’d be happy to stick with it.

Liquid green product is packaged in plastic bottle with foaming pump. Contains of 150ml product, it’s retailed for around idr. 35,000. Pretty cheap, eh? And it’s locally available! Horay!

The best way to washing face is to foam it first using your palm. But with foaming face wash, you can use it directly to your face. Talking about practicality?

I’ve been using this for about 8 month and have facing no problem. I think it’s really help me with my acne problem, making me have less-oily skin and cleanse well. If you have same problem with me, I totally recommend this.

Bless Acne Series : Cleansing Foam & Tonic

Before talking about review, i wanna share you my story with Bless' Promotion Executive (not sure if it's okay to write her name here, so i will just refer her as "PE"), which i think is a pleasant experience. Ooh but if you think my babbles are unbearable, please skip and go ahead to product review.. I am fine :)

That thay, she was email me whether i wanna try their new Healthy Glow Foundation. Me, having so much trouble with my skin not sure if it's okay to endorse a product i know wouldn't be good with my sensitive skin. But still, new product is always makes me tempting. So i replied, asking if it's okay for oily, sensitive and acne prone skin. The PE said even Healthy Glow Foundation is light and safe for daily use, they wouldn't recommend it for acne skin. But they do offer if i wanna try their Acne Series. Of course i said YES (i tempted for any help, my skin is that bad that time). However, i still wanna try the new light foundation, and think i wanna get it once i get better.

And then the package's coming with not only the Acne cleansing foam and tonic, but also sample from many product (will review one by one, some i've reviewed are : Bless Sunscreen lotion SPF 19, and Bless Sensitive Skin Series). And they also put a sample of Healthy Glow Foundation in! Hurrryaaah~

Okay, i was told that cleanser's ingredient are not too important since it doesn't last long on your skin.

But i have to told you that the fragrance is noticeable. It's floral and sometimes remind me of old chilhood days. I just don't remember what it smells like.

BLESS Acne Cleansing Foam

Now i am nearly finish my tube and i can give you a review for it.

First, it's never cause me breakout. Not in my hard days, not in my better days. No extra blackhead found. So i would say it's safe.

Second, even it's in cream form, it doesn't produce too much foam therefore it doesn't drying your skin. The result after cleansing is not so clean feeling but when i check using cotton pad and toner, no dirt left.

Third, i've checked the pH number and i got number 5.5 and as far as i know, it's good for cleanser.

Acne Cleansing Tonic

 is a cleanser and refreshner that can refresh acne skin and help to prevent oil from acne skin. Contains of salicylic acid that functioned as antiseptic, anti fungi, and stimulating new skin growth.

It is suggested to use with cotton pad, but i haven't tried it. I always pour to my bare hand, and pat around my face.

Talking about packaging, it is small and made from plastic. But the closure is tight and totally safe. I never experience leaking accident with it.

The product is pink (yes, PINK) but on my hand it's only sheer pink.

Well. It's also has Fragrance in second last, but not offensive. The scent gone once you put the product on your face.

It does smells alcoholic a lil bit since it's contains of ethanol too.

 I am still having 1/4 product even i use it everyday and sometimes even add it to my back acne (refreshing, really).

As the Cleansing Foam, it doesn't cause me breakout at all. And being an awesome, it's also help in oil control department (normal skin may found it drying though).

As bonus, it's also drying acne! WOW!

In short, i like it but there's not enough acne healing properties so i need to use separate acne lotion/cream. And it does stinging if touched to wounded area.

Personally i add benzoyl peroxide cream with them and i think the result is nice. BUT i don't know which one is the workhorse.

Between them, if you want to feel an instant effect, consider to pick the Tonic. At least you can feel the oil control side instantly. For long term effect, take both.

And benzoyl peroxide of couse, LOL

Review : Cow Brand Skinlife Facial Foam

i know the hype was long time ago, but better late than never right? LOL *just my excuse*

I was kinda confused when i heard this brand for the first time, "A cow brand? COW? is it for real? why do they named it as cow brand?".. Okay, here's the answer : because their product made from cow milks. So they simply use it as brand name.

Seeing the condition in picture, i am sure you know that i've been use it for long time. Truthfully, i am nearly finish it. This is what i do now with skincare review. I try the product, then manage to finish or at least use more than half, then write my review (except for first impression review).

 

Cow Brand Skinlife Facial Foam

Seriously, yes the price is very different. I highly suggest you to get it in Guardian (specially when it is on sale, usually 10-20% off). I got mine in Papaya and so disappointed.

I bought it when i was in search for SLS (both Sodium Laureth Sulfate and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) and Mineral oil free cleansing foam.

I was that sold, so i wasn't do google for the price tag.

Despite the goodness, it's contains of Myristic Acid which some say, is comedogenic.

However, i think i don't get more pimple/comedo/clogged pore whenever i am using it.

 It is white and very thick.

Make sure you do foaming with your hand before applying to your face.

Believe me, you wouldn't like to foaming it on your face.

 Since it SLS free, it doesn't produce much foam.

In my opinion, it does clean so well and leave my face in not so dry but not hydrating condition after wash.

As i said before, it doesn't cause me breakout whatsoever, but i am not sure if it does help me with my current acne too.

Will i repurchase?

Yes, i planned to. For the sake of SLS and mineral oil free.. If not this one, maybe the other from the same range ::)

Innisfree Apple Juicy Liquid Foaming Cleanser

hi Ladies!

It's been a while since i posted another review.. oh well, i've spent my time to browse more about perfume. Yes, perfume. They're simply drive me crazy, my other addiction. 

But here i am again, back to beauty items, perfume-y things can wait :)

If you're a fans of innisfree's product, then i think you've know this, or it's series. Apple juicy is so tempting series since it's light, have a nice scent and works so well. I have Apple Juicy Make up remover, Liquid foaming cleanser and cleansing oil. The last one still in my shelf, waiting my kose softymo cleansing oil to be end.

Let's start with this one, though!

Apple Juicy Liquid Foaming Cleanser (LFC) came in 2 size, full size (300ml) and refill size (100ml) - cmiiw.

Mine is in 300ml size, it's cheaper and has pump. But there's no plastic security here, the protection is in crank form. More safe, but not my favorite way.

Apple is an excellent natural facial cleanser. The natural acid of the apple helps to remove excess oil from the skin and prevents acne, blackheads, and whiteheads. Apple cleanser gets an instant shine and glow to the face.

as another innisfree product, it's free from parabens.

it's has fragrance, but at least it's the lowest ingredients in list.

As it's name, it's seems like another liquid in the bottle. Not thick, not watery.

It's pump works so well, dispense good amount of product. One pump is enough for washing entire face.

if you know Clean and Clear Cleansing foam, it's exactly feels like that. But without parabens (C&C has LOTS of parabens in it's ingredient list). LFC produced lots of foam thought, so it might contains of detergent, but for me, it doesnt causing any breakout or another problem.

I also loveLFC's scent, like fresh green apple. That's why i love to use it in the morning, gentle and effectively wake me up with it's scent ^o^

 So far, it's my favorite gentle facial wash. Will definately repurchase once i emptied this one .. yes, that's how i LOVEEE it!

Travelling is never ever easy for me, it's hard for me to decide what to go and what's stay home. I love my skincare routine, and also really love to have wide option of make up i want to use. But sadly, i can't bring all of my lovelies with me ≧△≦

there's so many items i brought, and most of them left .. i forgot bring any mask, even a sleeping mask, and i also forgot bring my tomato spot serum (´･ω･`)

But that fine, i bought 2 sachet of mask there, and went sleep with only toner and emulsion. So everything's okay.

These are masks that i bought. They were sold in Watson. You can buy it for only 9300idr during their promo (you need to buy in some minimum amount before able to purchase purederm mask in that price)

before i forget to state : they're puredesm mask in Kiwi Yoghurt and Grape Yoghurt. I've tried kiwi one, and yes, it help to brighten my tired face! so lovely! (＾▽＾)

The Face Shop Herb Day 365 Cleansing Foam : Mung Beans

this is a review of a very helpful cleansing foam i've ever met (even if it's not the perfect one, well nobody's perfect right?) Let me introduce you to :

The Face Shop Herb Day 365 Cleansing Foam : Mung Beans

Size : 170ml

Explanation in behind :
“Formulated with clarifying, exfoliating Mung Bean extract, this mild botanical foaming cleanser iluminates and softens skin."

Directions :
Add water and work into a rich foam. Gently massage over your face and rinse throughly.

Ingredients :
water, myristic acid, potassium hydroxide, butylene glycol,glycerin, stearic acid, lauramide dea, ceteareth-20, glycol distearate, vigna radiata extract, peg 40 stearate, water (and) salvia officinalis (sage) leaf extract (and) aspalathus linearis extract (and) lilium candidum flower extract (and) anthemis nobilis flower extract (and) borago officinalis extract (and) centaurea cyanus flower extract, perfume, water (and) saponaria officinalis extract (and) aesculus hippocastanum (horse chestnut) bark extract (and) alchemilla vulgaris extract, disodium edta, methylparaben, carica papaya (papaya) fruit extract, citrus grandis (grapefruit) peel extract, propylparaven, salix nigra (willow) bark extract, dipotassium glycyrrhizinate, caramel.

i know it contains Paraben, i dont know the dosage of course but i think it's still okay since it's hard to get off all the paraben's product from my or my family's life and we're all okay using paraben's product for long time (knock-knock on the wood~). Next time i will try to reduce it, but not now.

I never use a korean cleansing foam before, i always prefer to use cleansing foam i can easily found. But when the SA from Colormix in Lam Tien, Hongkong, told me that they got special price for TFS's herb day cleansing foam, i added it to my cart as fast as can be. I bought it for only 30 HKD or IDR 33,000! Very cheap!

Colormix's SA said that if i need help to solve my blemish problem, i can choose between mung beans and acerola, so i chose the Mung Beans since it claimed 'Soften rough skin' while Acerola said 'Clarifies dull skin'. Well, for me soften is more important.

Sadly, i am NOT trying this while i am still in Hongkong, when the super cheap price available. In TFS Indonesia, they sell it for IDR 129,000 and in TFS Singapore for around IDR 75,000. Pricey, eh? But suprice-ly, i could got a cheap price if i buy it from pre-order shop, who buy it directly from Korea. Not as cheap as the first one i bought (the 33 HKD one) but still cheap compared to Face Shop's official stores in Indonesia.

First time i tried it is when i'm already home. I am so impressed, with just a small pea amount, i can get a clean face and radiant skin. Wow. And it came in 170ml tube size. Low price, big amount and just a small size can help you got what you want! I thought it because mung bean has a power to deep cleaning without scrub, which i love since scrub always break me out.

Everytime i remember to use toner/astringent after washing my face using it, i never found a residue in my cottonball. Means it really clean my face as well. And after one week, i found out that my blemishes already be slighter. I dont know it because of my cleansing foam or my Hiruscar (not yet reviewing it). But at least, i guess my cleansing foam help my hiruscar's job by softly exfoliating my skin so skincares i used after it can be easily absorbed.

Many reviews said it easily to get small pimple when use it, i did got small pimple everytime i used it, but only in first week or two. It still fine, because i always get pimple, and sometimes it even breakout. So 1 small pimple is not a big problem for me.

Good Things about it :

• Cheap, a pea size could already work all over your face.
• Came in 170ml tube size, big size!
• Never leave a residue
• Exfoliating without scrub
• Do what it claims
• Smells good, nothing like mung beans, but not bad.
• Easy to blend with water
• Not drying my skin, it's glowing but matte. Got no worries using it everyday.
• Cute packaging, i love the mung beans pict. Like a sketch but not.
• Good enough to clean my eye liner

Bad Things about it :

• So expensive here in Indonesia (not really bad, online store can help with it)
• There's only one TFS store in Bali (i just found out it today), in Mall Bali Galeria
• contains paraben, if you wont use any paraben's product, well it's out of your range.
• might cause you get small pimple(s) in the first 2 weeks.
• inable to clean sunblock

Repurchase?
i already have 1 tube extra. And the tube i use is still quite full even i've use it everyday since july.
After it, who knows? :p
