Short Review about The Body Shop Absinthe Purifying Hand Cream

Do you use hand cream?

Well, with so many cute hand cream out there, i usually prefer something cute too (read my review about Etude Honey Bee Hand Cream here, still keeping the cute cute packaging til now). Unfortunately, it doesn't do much job for my hand so i keep searching. Long story short, out of f00l, i bought this Absinthe Hand Cream because i think it's the popular HEMP Hand Cream. I know. So sad it doesn't available in Indonesia, and i think it would never be -___-"

The packaging is like water color, so after some use it would messed up. Not pretty but it does saving space. And i think it does something for product safety too.

Absinthe hand cream is supposed to moisturized your hand while keeping it feeling fresh. Last part is mostly because of it's fresh scent, which i like. Fragrance is in third on ingredient list though.

 

i know, the picture is not super-clear but i give up trying because it's soo messy and hard to catch.

By purchasing Body Shop's product, i know i'm not paying for super great ingredient. So that's okay.

Spot that it has shea butter, some seed oul and Menthol. And lot fragrance(s). Okaaay. I just wish it be more like Hemp version : more seed oil and less fragrance.

actual product

 The product is a tad greenish. It's thin cream textured and quite fast to absorb. Like any other hand cream, it does makes your hand feel much smoother right after use but not for long. It's still lay on your hand after one or two light hand wash (without much soap).

 I definately need another hand cream after finishing this babe (can't wait for that day haha). It's not my special one, and i wouldn't repurchase.

However, if your hand is not as dry as mine, Absinthe Purifying hand cream might be work for you. Make sure you try their sample before deciding (i tried, but i really want to buy something so bad that day so yeah~).

i knew this is new to my blog, but i've thinking about it since a long time. My favorites product might mean nothing for you, but as i love reading another bloggers favorites product, i decided to write about mine too. Hope you like it! ^^

My favorites are mostly from my newest purchase. But what can i say? i wanted them for long time and finally get it ~ so nice :)

What are they?

urban decay naked palette 2

shade # half baked in my palette is a little bit scratched by my nail because i was in hurry, and the closure won't work well :(

i love this palette so much, really, it's effortless (you can't go wrong!), very pigmented and long lasting, even without primer.

benefit how to look best at everything (without porefessional, i put my dandelion ultra plush gloss there XD)

truthfully, this box is too big for my make up pouch, i planned to move "hello flawless" powder into another box (maybe feelin dandy) so it would be easier for me to carry them together.

I love benefit ultra plush lip gloss, it doesnt like any other lip glosses i've tried. It's soft, not sticky, has good fragrant and leaving my lips with very smooth feeling (☆▽☆)

definately a good item-to-go, right? that's why i put it together with the kit, instead of porefessional.

benefit high beam

last month, i would prefer using benefit dandelion, but i found high beam gives longer brightening effect and easier to carry around. Dandelion is way too big to my pouch. Maybe i'll use it more often after i depot it XD

i love all shades in this palette, especially coralista (for blush) and hoola (for contouring). They work really great together!

skinfood banana concealer

i love to use skinfood banana concealer to add coverage, since benefit boing alone is not enough for me. And i need to finish it faster .. haha ..

urban decay stash # rehab

it's another helpful product from urban decay.

Whenever i'm in hurry -no time for primer, e/s and brushes etc- i'd use this one. I love how pretty the shade is, how easy to use and how well it stay on my lid.

daiso eye brow pencil # black

If you have daiso in your town, go and take this one. I bought it for only RM 5 (or about idr 15,000) and it works like magic!

i have a quite bold eye brows and never think to add more by eye brow pencil, but after shaping my eyebrows, i think i might need a helper to support new shape i got. I put no expectation for a very cheap product like this (i know, shame!) but i can't be happier with this one. Review coming soon ^^

sleek highlighter and contour brush

i kneew it's discontinued item, and i love love it so much （*/∇＼*)

i almost do my blush and contour with it. It used to come with Sleek Contouring Kit, but they've took the brush out of set.

it helps me use blush and contouring, take the good amount of pigment and blend like dream. I know, unbelievable right?

as i said in my review about 92% aloe vera, i love it so much and definately will repurchase it (it's only 49,000 idr in their counter!). My latest find is it's work GREAT for face moisturizer, wouldn't oxydize, and add more coverage! crazy right?

neutrogena norwegian hand cream

it's small but does a great job for my chapped hands and feet!

the direction on product said it also can be use as lip conditioner, but no, i have another product for it XD

and since it's in tube form, it's more hygienic than my other hand cream ..

I thought this is my craziest haul, i never been so obssesed like this ( ≧Д≦)

first, i got some beauty product while i was in Kuala Lumpur. It was okay since most of them are expensive in indonesia.

then my pre-order items from market plaza are coming, some benefit cosmetics and and brushes. I was ordered it on august while many of them are on sale, so it's accepted.

in this point i was decided for not getting any other item until november (i ordered some items that will come in november) but when i read Lovely Lue's post about Sariayu's product, i was obsessed like crazy and i bought some Sariayu's products this evening 

Sariayu is indonesian local brand, it's not on expensive side.. Their 3 shadows palette cost me idr 42,000 (about usd 4.5).. and a lipstick is about idr 31,000 (about usd 3.2) and automatic eye brow pencil is about idr 58,000 (about usd 6.0) but i was like, Can't i control my self more? o(╥﹏╥)o

Mission : Save My Hand ; Executor : TBS Almond Oil Hand Rescue Treatment

Say Hello to the new month, wish it would be a great month for us ^^


As i said above, i'm on mission to save my hand, because they're chapped and drying. Not very dry, but sometimes chapped a lot :(

I was eye-ing The Body Shop's hand treatment, and most reviewer said that Almond Oil is the best for saving chapped hand. And because i want the one who work better and faster, i choose Hand Rescue Treatment rather than Hand & Nail Cream from Almond Oil Series.

i'm using different way of photography for this post, it's seems so nice for me, and i hope you like it too ^^

Yes, Almond Oil Hand Rescue Treatment come in jar, not in tube, so it's somehow unhigienic rather than another series from Almond Oil.

I love the scent ; not too strong, and nice. It doesn't smell like almond thought, but sweet, like a mixed of floral and fruit, but sadly i don't know what.

Textures

what's so good about it?

it's easy to absorb, feelin a little bit creamy on my hand rather than etude house's happy bee hand cream.

smells very good, sweet almond i guess?

it does rescue my hand from chap & dryness.

doesn't feel oily nor sticky

it's also work to my cracked heels!!!! (☆▽☆)

.. and what i dont like about it?

the packaging, a tube will be better

it's contains parabens (methyl & propyl)

Overall, it's worth the price, i'm sure will repurchase after i finished this one ^^

Review Etude House Happy Bee Hand Cream and My First Etude Product

As a korean product-lovers, i wouldn't miss this brand. And truthfully, etude is the first korean product i've tried. I think Etude (the name they use before changed it into Etude House/EH) is the first korean brand that went into Indonesia and put some of their branch here.

My first etude product is this Etude Skin Drink Aqua Lotion #1 (for oily skin).



i bought it in 2007 and it doesn't work well on me, it's always causing me got small pimple everytime i used it. I give it a chance and use it for 3 months *stupid me* before stopped it. A friend of mine said maybe it because of alcohol it has, but i dont know, another product-with-alcohol works fine on me.

Forget about it, i now use some of EH products, such as Wonder Pore Freshner (will review it later), Proof 10 Eye Primer (will review it later), Lovely Cookie Blusher (will review it later) and the cute hand cream : Happy Bee!





They came in four, with their own story :
★ Queen Bee - Rose
★ Yellow Bee - Acacia Honey
★ Ladybug - Chesnut
★ Baby Bee - Baby Citrus Powder

Four of them contains of Honey and Shea Butter which is aimed to moisturising and nourishing. They also using Hypoallergenic Formula, does not contain Paraben, Ethanol, Sulfate or Color Dyes and using organic formula.

i used to in love with the Queen Bee (my name means "queen" in russian) but the yellow bee has attract me more than his queen!

i got it with box, but it's arrived in a very bad condition, so i wont take picture of it .. so sad .. :(

the texture is between cream and balm. I only need a few amount for my chapped fingers, and it will be soft again. My fingers is not that bad, but yeah some of them chapped and happy bee hand cream can help a little bit to make it better. It's also stay in my finger after i wash using water (only water, no soap)it for the first time. But for the second time, it's gone.

It does help, and the acacia smell is not bothering me. I'm feel happy smelling a sheer scent of it during work.



The last pic i took for comparison only. I wasn't have any idea to what compare it with, and when i saw my peach sake pore serum, i decided to compare them. Peach sake pore serum came with 45ml cream and the happy bee with 30g cream. For sure, the packaging is too big for 30g cream, but it's also too cute. Everyone staring me if i used it in public area. Tee-hee!
