Benefit Sugarlicious (Highbeam, Benetint, Sugarbomb Blush and Lipgloss)

I've been reviewed Benefit Feelin Dandy kit before, and now i'm going to review benefit Sugarlicious kit. If feelin dandy is about making a radiant pretty look, sugarlicious is about making a fresh, natural looking glow. Among the three (feeling dandy/dandelion kit, sugarlicious/sugarbomb kit and tropicoral/coralista kit), tropicoral is the most pigmented one while dandelion and sugarbomb would only appear in fair or medium fair skintone. I have coralista in my powderrazi palette, so i don't purchase tropicoral kit.

there it is.. the sugarlicious ^o^
It isn't the best one to be in your make up pouch (too big, too bulky) but it's a nice add for your make up vanity. I personally love how sugarlicious, feeling dandy and how to look best in everything kit being together on my table

The behing part contains information about anything inside.
High beam and benetint contains is in 4ml size, sugarbomb in 3g and ultra plush lip gloss in 6.5ml size.
Benefit has a lot of kit contains of deluxe sample size product, so be careful not to purchase the things you don't like twice (or thrice, or more).

Inside sugarlicious kit is basically the same with feelin dandy and tropicoral kit : a huge mirror, removable tray, product, and mini rough brush (i think it's natural haired brush, means it can pick up pigment better than the synthetic one).

Benetint and High Beam both are in glass bottle with nail polish like brush, like the full size product.

They're so small. Also for the mini brush, definately need more time and patient to work my face.

okay, going to swatch ☆ミ

from left to right : benetint, high beam, sugarbomb blush, sugarbomb ultra plush lip gloss heavily swatch and blended.

Sugarbomb blush is really sheer, in my opinion. I have to pick it with Hervana's brush everytime i need it.
Since i have a medium fair skintone (maybelline dream matte powder sandrevlon colorstay in sandsleek foundation also in sandbenefit oxygen wow foundation in champagne), it's never really show up on my skin. It's more like a flush, fresh, sugary look. But since it's not going to highlighter category because it doesn't have enough shimmer for it.

As for lip gloss, i have reviewed it together with benefit dandelion ultra plush lip gloss.
Here's how ultra plush lip gloss in sugarbomb shown on my lips :

It's not as shimmery as revlon lip butter in peach parfait, but this shimmer sometimes disturbing me. The formula is still my faves thought.

Next to benetint and highbeam's swatch :

  heavily swatched

blended swatch

High Beam is called as "supermodel in a bottle", and it does being a gooood liquid highlighter. I usually mix it with my foundation to add more glow. The trick is mixed them well on back of your hand, then dot some amount on cheeks, chin, forehead and neck. Blend it well ~( ̄▽ ̄)ノ

Benetint is being favorite of many woman around the world. Oh well, not me. I mean, i like it but it's would never be my favorite.
On my cheeks, it's really sheer.. And i hate blend it with finger (leaving my finger somehow red-ish). Sometimes, i'm very yellow toned.. maybe it's the reason why benetint is too sheer for me?
If you want to try benetint on cheeks, dont forget to blend blend blend blend right after you put it on, and make sure you do it in a jump! o(`ω´*)

As for lip tint, it's drying without lip balm, and doesn't hold a full course meal. It gives a pretty color though.

And i believe i've read somewhere that benetint contains of Quarternium-15, which is a preservative that could turn into formadelhyde. So i stopped wearing benetint on my lips.

And as benetint is soo runny, like red rose water in a nail polish packaging, it somehow uneasy to apply. Once it's dry, there's no more chance to blend. But on lips, it tooks so long to dry.. haha .. i wish benetint would come in better packaging, better texture, and no carcinogen ingredients, because for the price, it's quite a shame.

do you like sugarlicious kit?

The Balm Jovi Rockstar Palette, Review & Swatch

June and July means Holiday. Some blogger that i followed has wrote about "travel essential", "make up for holiday", "how to pack make up for holiday" and so on. I have no plan for this holiday, because my bro will be graduated next month and my parents are going there to attend the ceremony. I'm the one who left home -___________-"

But it doesn't stop me to provide a make up for travelling information for you. Yes, we're talking about a very versatile palette for travelling :D

The Balm is the rising star in Make Up Land right now. They have lots of good quality product with a good price. I especially loving their instain powder blush! This Rockstar Palette is ROCK too!

I thought the design is weird : a guitar with red lippie and crazy hair. No, i dont think i'd get this palette by the design. I browse about it just for curiosity, and suddenly i fell in love with "Lead Zeppelin" (though it's not like i was thought). Long story short, i got it.

It's not as big as i think it is. It's only 17 x 11 x 0.5 cm, very travel friendly.
The packaging is made from cardboard (so The Balm) but it's sturdy and firm.

In behind, there's the insider and ingredients list.
Their eye shadow has talc, unlike their blush and highlighter.

The Balm Jovi Rockstar Palette has 12 eye shadow, 1 highlighter, 1 blush and 2 lip/cheek cream.
No need to worry, because they've separate the powder and cream part.

As it has a rockstar theme, the product inside are named with rockstar thing. I dont think it's everyones cup of tea, but you can always forget about the name thing-y.

I found that magnet closure for cream product is stronger than the one for powder form. Makes it even safetier for travelling.

Now into the Swatch ..

Part 1 : Eye Shadows

There are three section for eye shadows : heavy metal, classic and alternative. They made a lovely combination of finish : metallics, matte and any other finish in between. They're not very neutral nor colorful but seems like it has all colors that you'll love, or at least, you'll find something to adore.

I experienced, without primer, these eye shadow could stay for 10 hours. It's faded a little yes, but still amazing. I'm sure you can left your primer home if you bring this palette for travelling ^^

First - Heavy Metal
Metal-ica : silvery-white with metallic finish. It's soft and has a good pigmentation.
Iron Maid-in : yellow based gold with metallic finish. It's also soft and good pigmentation thought it's not as opaque as metal-ica but it's definately more opaque than the balm Snobby.
Lead Zeppelin : dirty black based green with gold shimmer and metallic finish. It's kind of duo chrome. Though it's smooth in texture, and seems like opaque when i swatch it on my arm, it's seems so bad on my eyes. It's not as dense as picture above, and very powdery.
Alice Copper : wine red with brown undertone and has metallic finish. It's definately my favorite among these four. Very rich in pigmentation, soft and no fall out.

Second - Classic
Adagio : a matte, pale neutral beige. It's smooth and not powdery. For me, it's work as base shade.
Allegro : a matte, medium warm brown. It's my favorite of the bunch, the most used color. It helps me to blend and make a nice crease shade because it's so smooth and not powdery at all.
Moderato : a matte, purple burgundy. Unlike two shades before, it's a little bit in dry side and has lower pigmentation.
Presto : a matte, warm dark brown with purple undertone. It's also dry and has lower pigmentation.

When i'm in hurry, i mixed presto and moderato to make an eye brow powder. Not the best one, but it's kinda works.

Third - Alternative
Blink 1982 :  muted pale burgundy with golden shimmer. It's not really opaque and somewhat dry.
The Stroke : dark navy blue with satin finish. It's the second worst shade (after lead zeppelin) because it's dry and low in pigmentation though it's buildable.
Rem : medium purple with golden sheen. It's kinda duo chrome and very pretty. As another plus, it's soft and has a good pigmentation.
Third eye blinded : warm soft peach with frosty finish. It's soft and easy to blend though it's hard to get it shown on me.

Part 2 : Cheeks

Only 2 pans in this part, a blush and a highlighter. If you're a The Balm fanatics, then you'll be very familiar with these two. They're basically a Frat boy blush and Mary Lou highlighter, with some different texture. I dont have any of them so i can't compare in person.

Dont You Want Me? : a matte, warm peachy coral pink. It's pack a good pigmentation and super smooth. I like the color but seems like it's very easy to gone with a soft finger swipe.
Solid Gold : a pale warm gold with shimmery finish. This color wont shown on my face, but it made a lovely highlight with light swipe. As plus, it's not easily gone like it's sister.

Part 3 : Lip / Cheek

What lip shade do you need on travelling? Red? Nude? Anything else?
:)

Both of them are not drying my lips, and doesn't emphasize dry part.

Milly : pale pink with neutral undertone. It's made and quite opaque. I can't make it shown on my lips with finger swipe, but lip brush would do this job for me. It's not my lips but better shade, it's a my muted lip shade. It's stay for 2-3 hours and not easily transfer to anything.

Vanilly : bright red with almost matte finish. It's silky and packed with good color pay off. I can swipe it with my finger to get a fresh look and build the color with lip brush to make it more opaque. It's stay for 3-4 hours on me.

Vanilly on my lips.

Milly on my lips

_______________________________________________________________

Overall, it's a very versatile palette, in good price. It's very recommended for day and night use. It's retailed for $39.5 in the Balm site (and in my blog sale if you're interested) but it's limited edition so get your hand quickly if you want to.

Another story to share with you is.. I used to in love with Nars heart New York set ($75, including palette, lip gloss and nail polish) but when i read in temptalia, i found that most of the eye shadow, blush and highlighter's dupe is also available in my rockstar palette! crazy! I wouldn't get it, and will loving my rockstar palette more ^______________^

What are you feelin'? I'm feelin dandy ~

As we know, Benefit Cosmetics always has cute cosmetic set to collect. I'm their big fans! Especially for Dandelions .. i even hit my dandelion's pan, and dandelion ultra plush gloss is my favorite! Now i'm going to review The Feelin Dandy kit. This one is part of Sephora exclusive, but i got it from beneficosmetics.com's flash sale.

Feelin dandy kit come together with Go Tropicoral and Sugarlicious. I have Sugarlicious too (review coming soon) but will wait to get Go Tropicoral .. >.<"

the box show you what inside.
In the top right corner, there's the sign of "benefit for sephora" really, it's funny since i got it from their own website XD

the first time i got it, i was surprised about the size, i think it would be bigger, but well, at least it's more travel friendly. It's 12 x 9 x 3 cm thought. A lil bit too big for travelling, but acceptable.

picture behind the box show you what's inside the kit : posie tint, high beam, dandelion powder and ultra plush gloss in dandelion, including the swatch.

benefit provided 2 tips and trick card, one outside the kit and one inside.
The one inside is colored, while the outside one isn't. The one outside is unnecessary since you can't lost the one inside except you cut it.

i love feelin dandy's design, especially the flyin dandelion, very pretty.

picture behind the kit is also explain about each product's size.

the feelin dandy kit
(tips and trick closed)

inside the box :
4.0 ml / 0.13 US fl. oz of posie tint
4.0 ml / 0.13 US fl. oz of high beam
3.0 g / 0.1 oz of dandelion brightening face powder
a mini flat brush
6.5 ml / 0.22 US fl. oz of ultra plush lip gloss in dandelion

the feelin dandy kit
(tips and trick opened, there's a mirror inside)

you can cut the tips and trick card so you can get better access to the mirror. And as another benefit kit, you can take the divider out and use the box for different items, depotting maybe? :D

feelin dandy's design is a lil bit different with dandelion box-o-powder, but both are very pretty.

there's my dandelion family
this picture taken before i hit dandelion's pan (posted here), so here it's still good looking.

now into swatch :

ultra plush lip gloss in dandelion is a soft pearly pink which is very pretty for me, read my review about it here.
dandelion brightening powder is soft pink with micro golden shimmer, it's more sheen on me, but sometimes it's looks like highlighter. Read my full review about it here
posie tint is a poppy tint for lip and cheek. It's not very thick nor runny, just easy to blend on cheek and easily spread on lips. Scroll to see posie tint better.

Posie Tint is quite sheer on me once it's blended, but it's a good compliment for dandelion brightening powder and Sugarbomb box o powder. I found it's drying my lips but not on my cheek.

High Beam is "supermodel in a bottle", it's helps you to get the supermodel look ヾ(☆▽☆)
very pretty to use after foundation or mixed with foundation. It's doesn't have yellow nor pink undertone, it's more like champagne for me.

Overall, this kit do it's job, i definately will repurchasing if it's still available. I believe i saw it's a limited edition product somewhere, but i'm not sure.

i wouldn't writing too much because i plan to review posie tint and high beam alone, keep reading and follow me if you enjoy my review ^^

have you try any of them? what do you think? any favorites maybe?
