Review & Swatch : Benefit Dandelion

Truthfully, i never think that my first Benefit box-o-powder is Dandelion.
I think it would be bella bamba, or hervana, or coralista since they have more pigment in shade and more cute ~

But since i found out i always looks tired & dull in morning, i decided to get Dandelion. I bought preloved Dandelion from another female daily member, and she sent me the old dandelion .. it was good since old dandelion has more product than the new one. Old product has 10.0g (0.35 oz) while the new one only has 7.0g (0.25g).

what 's ulta says about it?
Start your day the perk-me-up way, and keep them guessing how you look so pretty this early in the morning. Dust on our soft, pink, perk-me-up powder for instant radiance and a youthful appearance. Its the perfect shade of pink that brightens everyone's complexion

and what's benefit says about it?

a brightening face powder

Why we love it

This sheer ballerina pink finishing powder with a subtle shimmer takes your complexion from dull to radiant in an instant! To perk up throughout the day, dust on cheeks or all over face. Soft, natural-bristle blush brush included.
and in back side of box, benefit says :
finely spun with delicates mauves and pinks, this exquisite brightening face powder leaves a petal like finish

my 10.0g dandelion

the box, the brush, the separator & the product

i dont like this brush (︶︹︺)
it's better than my sigma F30 to pick up dandelion, but sadly, very sadly, it's hurt my face!
i'm only using it if i want to use dandelion as blush, which i rarely do. I am mostly use my F30 to use it as illuminating powder.

this is how benefit dandelion looks on my neutral to warm skin, around nc/nw 25
it's hard to shown once it blended, works very good as illuminating (or brightening powder, according to Benefit) but not very good as a blush.

Dandelion is a shimmer-sheen light pink, it works well as finishing powder since it doesn't give too much shimmer nor adding too much color.
it's simply gives me a "wake up face" in the morning, which will be turn a little bit oily in 2-3 hours.
I never put too much attention to Dandelion's scent, it's very soft like baby powder, but not disturbing. You can't smell it once it applied on your face.

Dandelion is part of my morning routine, it helps me looks fresh and brighter (ノ´∀`*)ノ

thanks for reading! ^^

Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum, a Short Review.

Whenever you buy korean product, in brick-and-mortar store or from online store, you will get some sample. Personally, i prefer to move my product into a jar rather than to keep it in their own plastic during use, because it's soooo messy to use product from sample packaging if you're not keep it in right place ( ̄へ ̄")

for blogging purpose, i chose my innisfree green tea seed serum in sample size. This is a very unique sample, i love the packaging! it looks like an ampoule in my opinion (ノ´∀`*)ノ.

they're also provide it with product explanation in back-side, but since it's all in Korean, i can't read anything.

and these are my equipment to move product into a jar :
alcohol
tiny jar (it's 5ml size jar)
a cotton ball
product sample

first, drop some alcohol into a cotton ball and swipe all over jar with it. Dont forget to swipe it into the closure too.
Some people doesn't like cleaning up jar using alcohol method because it might change product's consistency, but i think it's good way because alcohol will kill bacteria & swipe dirt.

now my jar is clean! (^▽^)

.. then put product into the jar

innisfree green tea seed serum has a very liquid texture. It's absorb easily, and feels so light like i dont use anything on my face.
but there's no green tea smell i could detect, but it's still a nice smell.

these is what left after i drop all product into a jar *LOL

These sample last me 3 times usage. It's doesn't cause me breakout, it gaves me dewy look which is turn into greasy in 2-3 hours, but didn't give me any other effect. It's not very moisturizing but feels light weight at the same time. Maybe 3 times usage doesnt enough to show me the amazing effect it might give :P

i used to think that i have to get this in full size, but after re-thinking, i decided not to get it. I'd rather to try argan oil or another that cheaper option which promise me moisturizer and dewy look with cheaper prize. But if you have more budget to go, it would be a good product to try :)

thanks for reading, i really appreciate it ^^

My best friend : Baviphat Apple AC Therapy Sleeping Mask

i've been sooo curious about baviphat's apple ac therapy sleeping mask. It has super cute packaging and the function is like what i exactly need  ◕‿◕

apple is one of my favorite fruit, and after doing some google-research, i found out that apple is a good source of antioxidant that called polyphenols. Antioxidant stabilize free radicals that damage cells and tissues and boots inflammatory proteins known as cytokines. This is a good news for acne, as high insulin levels increase inflammation in your skin and kick oil glands into overdrive. The bacteria that causes acne, Propionibacterium acnes, also flourish in oily skin.

.. maybe that's why baviphat made a product for fighting acne based on apple :D

I've wrote about sleeping mask in my post about The Face Shop's Raspberry Slim & Lift Sleeping Mask, so i wouldn't re-writing about it again. I love using sleeping mask, because of sleeping mask (at least some that i tried or i curious about) are came in gel form. Gel form in my opinion are safe for oily skin type *like mine* and moisturize enough. My bedroom is equipped with an air conditioner, which will drying my skin during sleep. So beside of any other effect that brought by sleeping mask, it will at least protecting my skin from dryness.

Product
Baviphat Apple AC Therapy Sleeping Mask
size : 100 ml
packaging : made from plastic, 8cm height & 8cm wide.

the description & ingredients are writen on back side paper using hangul (korean language)

These cute apple also have a leaf!

Baviphat also provided the tiny spoon so you doesn't have to grab it my your finger (which is soooo not hygienic)

LOL
i've using mine like 5-6 months and that's why only 1/4 jar left.
I use it about 2 times a week (rotating it with Baviphat Lemon Whitening Sleeping Pact & The Face Shop Raspberry Slim & Lift Sleeping Mask).

the texture is jelly-like, it takes time to absorb to skin but since sleeping mask is the last part of night skincare routine, there's always time to wait. At least for me, because i'm going to sleep 30-60 minutes after finishing my skincare routine.

Overall, it's a good sleeping pact which help me to prevent acne, cure the small pimples, and maybe also help to reduce my acne scar. I also love the apple scent! In the first week, the lovely scent has brought me to sleep faster than before. It's relaxing me (ノ´∀`*)ノ.

It's also good value, because 100ml jar last me about 9 month maybe, or about 5 month if i use it alone (doesnt rotating it with any other sleeping mask :p) and 100ml jar size cost about IDR 100,000. Good value, right? :)

The only thing i dont like about this mask is the jar size. Believe me, it's not easy to bring it while you're on travelling :(

ps. no, it doesnt break me out, if you curious about it :p

thanks for reading ^^

It's always summer with Too Faced Summer Eye Summertime Sexy Shadow Collection

I always fallin love with cute packaging, especially if it's part of Limited Edition community. Last year, Too Faced has Dream collection which including Sweet Dreams palette i really adore, but i can't get it since it's discontinued and very expensive to get it from e(vil)bay o(╥﹏╥)o

Soooo ~ when Too Faced launch their first limited edition palette for 2012, i can't take my eyes of it. Limited Edition + cute packaging + sephora sale = perfect moment!

Too Faced described it as :
A limited-edition, tropical-inspired eye shadow palette which captures the fun colors of long summer days and sultry summer nights.
What It Is:This fabulous collection includes fun pops of summer color in coral, pink and aqua complimented with beachy neutrals and seductive shimmery browns. With this wide shade range, you can easily shift from a playful beach day babe into a sultry seductive summertime smoky look for cozy bonfires and moonlit dinners with your summer fling.
More To Love:

  • Fabulous Formulas: Nine, pigment-rich shadows offer a range of shimmering textures from sheer pops of juicy color to golden neutrals, to sparkling stylish browns.
  • How-To Cards: Three How-To-Cards show you how to create Day, Fashion and Classic eye looks for any summer occasion. Each look is simplified into 3 easy steps shown on each How-To-Card so you have all you need to feel confident and flirtatious all summer long.
  • Travel-friendly: This collection is a must-have for summer sleepovers, weekends away and touch-ups at the pool.

Well, first, i wouldn't recommend you to bring it beside the pool. The cute packaging is made from cardboard, which is not waterproof and could easily damaged by water. But yeah, it's come in travel friendly size, only 10.5 cm x 9 .0 cm x 2.0 cm so it's fit for most make up pouch.

The box, the palette, the how-to cards and cute Too Faced Shadow Insurance in sample size. All of them has cute design (♡∀♡)

Oh her eyes ~ her eyes ~
Make the stars look like they're not shining ..

"How do I (Jerrod Blandino) create a sizzling summer eye?"

font side
it has a small blue ribbon to help you open the magnetic closure ^^

Swatches ~ ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
(swatch without any primer)

Most of them are very pigmented, easy to blend shades. Sugar Sand is also a beautiful shade i adore, even it's a little bit hard to make it shown on my skin (yeah most of light pink shades are hard to shown on my skin).
Sadly, peach fuzz & sunbeam are hard to shown on my hand, but both of them are pretty shades. I swipe them using finger to let you see them better.

Yeah, sun beam is more golden-y than peach fuzz, and it shown better on my skin. But both of them are works, sunbeam is good for highlighter under brow bone, but peach fuzz is nice to add extra shimmer over eye shadow!

❤ Shades Description :
Sugar sand : shimmery dusty rose
Peach fuzz : shimmery golden peach
Sunbeam : pale gold shimmer
Plumeria : vivid pink
Coral Crush : coral pink shimmer
Mermaid : muted teal
Cocoa beach : plum brown shimmer
Chocolate sun : shimmery rich brown
Toasted coconut : matte caramel

At the first time i saw Summer Eye palette, i'm sooo in love with Coral Crush. It's a beautiful coral shade i rarely found in another palette. But now, i love most of them! ^^

you'll like it if :

you're looking for a travel friendly palette
you can stand cardboard packaging
you don't want another neutral palette
you don't need another black shade in a palette
you want a colorful shades that work for day & night
you're in hunting for a beautiful & unique coral or teal shade

you won't like it if :
you wont spend $36 for a palette
you're into neutral shades
you prefer to use matte eye shadows that shimmery one

Have you get it? or do you plan to get it?
