Paula Choice Resist Weightless Body Treatment 2% BHA

Hello!
I’ve using this Weightless Body Treatment with 2% BHA for about 2.5 months and finally feel (and see) it’s effect so I think I’m ready to share my experience with you. However, I doesn’t take before and after picture but you can put your trust on me. I bought product with my own money, and write review purely because I want to share ^____^

I don’t remember how many years I’ve been spent with body-acne problem. They’re spread on my back and top arms. By the years, its’ getting rough and brown. Do I need to say that I don’t like them?

I was helped by The Body Shop Body Polish, but it’s alone is not enough. Since Paula Choice Anti Redness Exfoliating BHA works so well on my face (review later.. *ehm*) I decided to give Resist Weightless Body Treatment 2% BHA a try. Okay it’s expensive (and will be more expensive since USD are raising high compared to IDR) but I put my trust and took the bullet. If you don’t want to, anti redness exfoliating is liquid form of this baby, basically they’re the same. Even Resist Weightless Body Treatment 2% BHA could be use on face too.

Okay, going to review..

Paula Choice Resist Weightless Body Treatment 2% BHA

What it does :
Exfoliates to reveal younger, hydrated skin
Eliminates rough, bumpy skin
Antioxidants help repair sun damage

direction of use, ingredients etc

Directions :
Apply small amount to clean skin. May be used daily for all-over smoothing and exfoliation, or applied to breakout-prone areas as needed. For daytime use, wear under Paula Choice Sunscreen.

Well, I just use it once a day, after my evening shower since I am not using sunscreen on my back and top arms in daytime. They’re just safely hid under my clothes and I am afraid that wrong sunscreen will make my body acne worse.

tub's hole
At 210ml of product, this baby is HUGE. It’s not something you’d want to carry all along. But if I am travelling, I’d just bring Resist Weightless Body Treatment with 2% BHA and use it for my face and body. I think it’s easier since it’s in cream form.

Paula Choice Resist Weightless Body Treatment 2% BHA

The product is simply white cream and has hair-styling product scent. Don’t worry, the scent go away easily as you apply it.

I wouldn’t say that I never doubt it. In the end of first month, I feel sad, think that maybe its really not work. But now, I could say that it works slowly but sure. Even today, my acne are still there but far lesser and I have no bumpy skin, just fading scars all around my skin. I would be happy if it could work faster, but maybe I’m asking too much.

This produst is pricey, yes, but after 2.5 months of use, I still have about half bottle. Definitely worth my penny.

Pros :
Clinically proven non irritating (and not irritating on my sensitive skin)
No animal testing
Work slowly but sure
Can be use on face and body
Cream form, easy to travel with even its in HUGE bottle.

Cons :
Expensive
Hard to get in Indonesia
Bad smell
Need sunscreen companion if you want to use in daytime
Slow works, couldn’t rely on if you want speed healing

Thank you for reading, hopefully you're get what you need :)

Bless Healthy Glow Foundation shade Natural

Hai.

Finally I managed to back. Well, i was busy reading books. I finally got Indonesian version of Stieg Larsson’s The Girl Who Play with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest (I have the later in English, but really it’s too hard for me) thanks to Penerbit Mizan! I sent them email right-on-time so I could get the very last book in their stock, thanks Goddess!

Today I will do a short review for my old sample from Bless Indonesia. Back in July, they also sent me this sample along with Acne and Sensitive skin Series. That time, I have too many breakouts so I keep this baby for later. Again, Thank Goddess, my skin is getting better and better so I could test this Healthy Glow Foundation!

My sample is in 2g sachet, shade Natural. It lasted me for 4 usage, which is nice, means I only need like 0.5g per use.

First time I opened it, I was kinda shock. It’s really yellow, according to my friend, looks like liquid turmeric *LOL. However, I think I need to do swatch test etc etc so I brave my self, put it in my inner arm and do the procedure.  To my surprise, when I blend  it down, the color melt into my skintone. Not too yellow, or too pale, or too gray or too pink, just melt into my skin. Guess that because I have pretty strong yellow undertone.. Then I remembered something that just like this, my Sleek New Skin Revive foundation! It also has strong yellow undertone and match my skin perfectly. However, the packaging is not so helpful and too expensive. So this Healthy Glow Foundation better match for my need considering tube packaging and how easy to get.

indoor lightning, seems not so yellow? Ha.

under the sun, taken with HDR mode. Left unblended, right blended.

To make it easier for you, here’s my conclusion..
Pro :
Easy to get in Indonesia (check your local Century or Guardian, or their website : www.bless.co.id)
Cheap (it’s about IDR 70,000 and even cheaper when it’s on sale. Too bad their website is unaccesible now)
Practical tube packaging
Nice oil control (about 2 hours for my oily skin, in somewhat hot weather)
A little goes long
Light and non irritating
Doesn’t cause me breakout
Powdery finish (practical for non powder user)
No white cast even it has SPF
Has no fragrance

Cons :
No idea of it’s availability outside Indonesia
Lack of shade choice (only natural and beige)
Low coverage. No complaining here, I have nice skin to show *hahaha*
Not so glowy as the name suggested
Low SPF number, sunscreen is still needed.

Well, now I have some foundation I need to finish *oow* so I have no short term plan to purchase it. But later, YES YES YES

Have you tried it? How it works for you?

**PR sample, review is my own.
*** even it’s Indonesian product review, I am still write it in English since I want Indonesian product well-known in International blogging world. Maybe you can get it when travelling to Bali? Hee Hee.

Review : Real Techniques Blush Brush

Let me introuduce you to my other very favorite brush :
REAL TECHNIQUES BLUSH BRUSH!

At first though, i don't think i would ever like it. Oh please, it has weird shape (too fluffy, looks like bunny's tail!) and too big. Really?

 Real Techniques Blush Brush
Currently unavailable in Indonesian Store. Online shop is your best bet to get it :)

Came in pink handle, means it supposed to be use in finishing step. The bottom is flat so it can stand by it's own. My only complain for it's appearance is rubbery bottom that's going to melt in several months. I don't know, maybe it's the weather or what, but mine is slightly melt just like Nars's packaging.
Considering the price, i think i need some back up. Well, in my opinion, Real Techniques isn't cheap (compared to local made brush) but it has good quality and still cheaper than Sigma.

back box
Uh-Oh.
I definately not agree with it. The shape and the size wouldn't work for contouring in my face. I usually use it as blush brush for ultra pigmented blush (think of the balm instains and sleek blush by 3) and for finishing powder (work amazing for Guerlain Meteorites Pearls).

The latest function i found through Paris B's Blog (the exact post is HERE). I was struggling to find a good brush for Guerlain but won't to spend a lot (Meteorites itself is a high investation) so this blush brush is a lovely answer!

the bunny tail ^_____^
Sure the size is big, but by using the brush slightly more flat, you can easily control blush movement while it help to blend the ultra-pigmented blush.

While using it as finishing powder brush, it's no brainer. Right amount picked and it feels so soft..

This brush is a staple in my make up land, in fact, i brought it while travelling and use for both blush and powder. Easy ~

If you have any suggestion for using this little bunny tail for another make up related function, let me know!

The Body Shop Body Polish : Cranberry Joy, Vanilla Bliss and Ginger Sparkle

Well, during The Body Shop sale all over the year, i've succesfully collecting their Christmas' Limited Edition Body Polish and mini body butter. You know how i love their body polish, especially strawberry one. But you might also know, they're not cheap. I feel so lucky finding these limited edition with fraction of price!

The first one i bought, cranberry joy, is on "buy one get 50% off on second product". The other two was on discounted price at about IDR 89,000 each! And all of them expired at 2016. No question, i did stocked them.

Here's some of my collection :
woo hoo, 2 of eah body polish and 1 of each mini body butter
But today, i would only review the body polishes. They haven't back in store yet, but suppose to be soon. I think it's better to review them in one post since i don't have much more to say beside their diffences one to another :)

Ginger Sparkle, Vanilla Bliss and Cranberry Joy
My reason to splurge on their Body Polish is because it's easiness to use, effectiveness, lovely scent and even it's not cheap, i found that i need barely 5 months to finish 1 full size tube. I use it once a day. So yes, i will continue using this.

If you're the curious-about-ingredient type of person, here's the ingredient list for you. Click to get bigger image.

cranberry joy

vanilla bliss

ginger sparkle
All of them basically has the same main ingredient. The difference are in fragrance, the seeds and oil. Cranberry Joy has cranberry seed, kiwi seed and cranberry fruit extract. Vanilla Bliss has kiwi seed, vanilla fruit extract and something that makes it more moisturizing. Ginger Sparkle has ginger root powder, luffa cylindrica and ginger root oil and soybean oil. Ginger sparkle is the only one who doesn't has seed.

All of them will leave you with low to no dry skin because of honey in ingredient. But still, on some days you need extra moisturizer after polishing.

The difference shown in picture below :

LOVE THEM ALL!!!
CRANBERRY JOY
Being the first one i've tried after Strawberry Body Polish (reviewed here), it's feels disappointing at first. In my opinion, cranberry smell is far less pleasant than strawberry. And the effectiveness is lower too. After several usage, i get the point and start loving it too. Even of course, i still like strawberry's scent better.
The consistency is very much alike strawberry one, gel with seeds and walnut shell powder. Very convenient and lovely to use.
My Rating : 3.8/5

VANILLA BLISS
As far as i know, it's the only creamy body polish from Body Shop. The consistency is creamy with seeds and walnut shell powder too. I think this one is the best to use in dry weather, because even after shower, i can still feel the moisturizing effect.
Talking about scent, you might know that i love vanilla (see the blog title, LOL) and this one has medium-sweet vanilla that is subtle, but sometimes i can smell it even an hour after shower (without vanilla bliss body butter).
My Rating : 4.5/5 in normal-hot days and 5/5 in cold days

GINGER SPARKLE
I think i would never ever love this, but obviously, it's another pleasure. The scent is warm, gingerly scent which made me think about being in warm kitchen with gingerbread in jar while cold outside.
The texture is gel, with no seed but ginger root powder and walnut shell powder. But don't think it's not effective, it's really good to clean your dead skin!
My Rating : 4/5

Well, i think i've touch every aspect here, but if you still have something to ask, don't ever hesitate to leave a comment! ^^~

Thanks for Reading, hope you enjoy it :)

My Perfect Nude Lip Color!

As a girl who loves make up, we're all looking for our perfect nude lip color right? No matter how much you love red, vampy or fancy lip color, nude is a need. It works for any lazy days and all.

So stu*id of me, i own all these products for year and don't even realize how good they're together.

Enough for intro, and here i announce them :

Maybelline Baby Lips
MAC Lip Pencil shade Boldly Bare (full review here, originally from MAC Rebecca Mosses Illustrated Nude Lip Kit)
Benefit Ultra Plush Lip Gloss shade Dallas (featured on my post : for the love of Dusty Rose

I have such a dry lips so i need to add lip balm here, even if it doesn't contributing in color/shade. It is completely clear. And any other lip balm will do, it's just the one i currently use.

The picture has show you how close they're in spectrum. No wonder they could work superb together!

I was tried to make a step by step but found out that the pictures are too blur to use. Sorry. Please refer to original review of MAC Rebecca Mosses (link above) to see it closely.

All i do is :
Put lip balm on
After it's half dry, use lip pencil all over lip.
Add the lip gloss
DONE!

Here's how it looks on my lips :

What do you think?
Not too orange, not too brown, and not too pink.
Goal reached.
(if it just one product rather than 3.. Oh well..)
This combination last about 2 hours with few sip of drink and 3 hours without drinking or eating.

And here's how it look on my face :

Okay, i'm cheating here. I use Samsung's beauty face feature to hide my large pores. The colors still kinda accurate though. Hopefully it gives you better idea about my new favorites ^^~

Thank you for reading me babbling around!

September 2014 Holiday : Trip to Samalona

Halo, maaf ya telat. Jalan-jalannya September tapi postingnya Oktober.

Hahaha..

Lanjut.

Hari pertama saya mengunjungi Trans Studio.

Begitu Samalona mulai terlihat, air laut makin muda warnanya. Bening.

pasir putih, laut jernih, count me in!!!

bener-bener jernih!!!

the very spot, ada nama pemilik pulau samalona

Lumayan kok. Waktu itu kami pake 2 dangau dan cuma bayar IDR 60,000 for both. Makanan disini mahal, Jendral. Sangat disarankan beli di kota aja. Gorengan 20 pcs IDR 25,000 include sambal. Tapi ga enak -___________-“
Penyewa dangau di sebelah kami, ga tau deh berapa puluh orang, sampe bawa peralatan karaoke aja dong. Plus BBQ. Puas bener mereka *ngeces*.

Lanjut.
Daripada pembaca bosen liat ocehan saya, let these pictures speak more..

Bagian tengah pulau

pinggiran pulau

another side of samalona

Cakep sih cakep, tapi terlalu fotogenik. Aslinya ga secakep yang di foto. Menurut saya yang jarang-jarang liat pantai berpasir putih yang sepi, Samalona cakep kok. Worth Rp. 40,000 itu. Lagian kalo jalan-jalan ke Makassar, selain ke kota nya mau kemana sih? Coba kasih tau saya. Soalnya hari ke 3, 4, 5 saya mati gaya. Paling menggendutkan diri dengan dalih wisata kuliner dan mall to mall. Haiz -___-“

Sunglasses! Dan sun protection lain. Standar lah kalo ke pantai.
Kamera, soalnya Samalona fotogenik banget ^^
Makanan, kalo mau lama bawa makanan yang mengenyangkan. Disana pop mie aja Rp. 16,000.
Alat snorkeling kalo kamu berencana snorkeling.
Air putih. Kalo beli on the spot mahal.

Kesimpulannya, saya sukaaa banget ke tempat begini. Pasir putih - laut jernih - sinar matahari.. Heaven!

ps.
