Wet n Wild Megaslicks Lip Gloss in Bronze Berry, Review & Swatch

Lip Gloss is really "something" for me. Beside of blush of course.. Lip gloss gives you more natural, fresher look and doesn't has strange taste like most of lipstick do. It's also being easy to reapply (no mirror needed!), non drying and fool proof! yay!

Today i'd share about Wet n Wild Megaslick Lip Gloss in Bronze Berry (could be purchase through wet n wild indonesia's site or zalora's) which is.. wonderful. Actually, i don't like it THAT much at first, because it's kinda different with another lip gloss i have, but then i realize this is (again), wonderful.

First, about packaging. It's looks like pen, very simple. Nothing really special here, but the simplier the packaging, the more travel friendly it is.
The bottom part has made by clear, sturdy plastic, means you can see the real color clearly.

The top part is made from something aluminium like and has sticker of product description (what is it, the shade, weight, self life, where it was made and barcode).
I can't find any ingredient list there (and i know it has no space to write all the ingredients on a lip gloss).

The applicator is in doe-foot shape. Very familiar and easy to use.

Bronze Berry is medium rose bronze which looks very lovely on me *grin*. I can see some shimmer there, but in right amount of size.

As you can see through my swatch, it's incredibly pigmented. I can't even sheerer it to show you how the color would goes.. Crazy eh?
But again, if you have light to medium skin with warm undertone, it would definately flattering on you. Even if you have darken lips. It's THAT good, i tell you.

I have a naturally pink lips, but nothing to worry, bronze berry get it all right. No dryness shown there, and even it made me think that it's moisturizing. My dryness spot feels better after an hour of use, and i dont even wearing lip balm.

It has a mediumly sweet sugar scent, but gone in several minutes. It's not annoying thought. I know some that has really annoying scent. With a 69,000 idr price tag (exclude shipping, free shipping over 300,000 purchase here), it's definately a steal. I'd love to repurchase if i could ever finish this one, LOL.

The Balm Jovi Rockstar Palette, Review & Swatch

June and July means Holiday. Some blogger that i followed has wrote about "travel essential", "make up for holiday", "how to pack make up for holiday" and so on. I have no plan for this holiday, because my bro will be graduated next month and my parents are going there to attend the ceremony. I'm the one who left home -___________-"

But it doesn't stop me to provide a make up for travelling information for you. Yes, we're talking about a very versatile palette for travelling :D

The Balm is the rising star in Make Up Land right now. They have lots of good quality product with a good price. I especially loving their instain powder blush! This Rockstar Palette is ROCK too!

I thought the design is weird : a guitar with red lippie and crazy hair. No, i dont think i'd get this palette by the design. I browse about it just for curiosity, and suddenly i fell in love with "Lead Zeppelin" (though it's not like i was thought). Long story short, i got it.

It's not as big as i think it is. It's only 17 x 11 x 0.5 cm, very travel friendly.
The packaging is made from cardboard (so The Balm) but it's sturdy and firm.

In behind, there's the insider and ingredients list.
Their eye shadow has talc, unlike their blush and highlighter.

The Balm Jovi Rockstar Palette has 12 eye shadow, 1 highlighter, 1 blush and 2 lip/cheek cream.
No need to worry, because they've separate the powder and cream part.

As it has a rockstar theme, the product inside are named with rockstar thing. I dont think it's everyones cup of tea, but you can always forget about the name thing-y.

I found that magnet closure for cream product is stronger than the one for powder form. Makes it even safetier for travelling.

Now into the Swatch ..

Part 1 : Eye Shadows

There are three section for eye shadows : heavy metal, classic and alternative. They made a lovely combination of finish : metallics, matte and any other finish in between. They're not very neutral nor colorful but seems like it has all colors that you'll love, or at least, you'll find something to adore.

I experienced, without primer, these eye shadow could stay for 10 hours. It's faded a little yes, but still amazing. I'm sure you can left your primer home if you bring this palette for travelling ^^

First - Heavy Metal
Metal-ica : silvery-white with metallic finish. It's soft and has a good pigmentation.
Iron Maid-in : yellow based gold with metallic finish. It's also soft and good pigmentation thought it's not as opaque as metal-ica but it's definately more opaque than the balm Snobby.
Lead Zeppelin : dirty black based green with gold shimmer and metallic finish. It's kind of duo chrome. Though it's smooth in texture, and seems like opaque when i swatch it on my arm, it's seems so bad on my eyes. It's not as dense as picture above, and very powdery.
Alice Copper : wine red with brown undertone and has metallic finish. It's definately my favorite among these four. Very rich in pigmentation, soft and no fall out.

Second - Classic
Adagio : a matte, pale neutral beige. It's smooth and not powdery. For me, it's work as base shade.
Allegro : a matte, medium warm brown. It's my favorite of the bunch, the most used color. It helps me to blend and make a nice crease shade because it's so smooth and not powdery at all.
Moderato : a matte, purple burgundy. Unlike two shades before, it's a little bit in dry side and has lower pigmentation.
Presto : a matte, warm dark brown with purple undertone. It's also dry and has lower pigmentation.

When i'm in hurry, i mixed presto and moderato to make an eye brow powder. Not the best one, but it's kinda works.

Third - Alternative
Blink 1982 :  muted pale burgundy with golden shimmer. It's not really opaque and somewhat dry.
The Stroke : dark navy blue with satin finish. It's the second worst shade (after lead zeppelin) because it's dry and low in pigmentation though it's buildable.
Rem : medium purple with golden sheen. It's kinda duo chrome and very pretty. As another plus, it's soft and has a good pigmentation.
Third eye blinded : warm soft peach with frosty finish. It's soft and easy to blend though it's hard to get it shown on me.

Part 2 : Cheeks

Only 2 pans in this part, a blush and a highlighter. If you're a The Balm fanatics, then you'll be very familiar with these two. They're basically a Frat boy blush and Mary Lou highlighter, with some different texture. I dont have any of them so i can't compare in person.

Dont You Want Me? : a matte, warm peachy coral pink. It's pack a good pigmentation and super smooth. I like the color but seems like it's very easy to gone with a soft finger swipe.
Solid Gold : a pale warm gold with shimmery finish. This color wont shown on my face, but it made a lovely highlight with light swipe. As plus, it's not easily gone like it's sister.

Part 3 : Lip / Cheek

What lip shade do you need on travelling? Red? Nude? Anything else?
:)

Both of them are not drying my lips, and doesn't emphasize dry part.

Milly : pale pink with neutral undertone. It's made and quite opaque. I can't make it shown on my lips with finger swipe, but lip brush would do this job for me. It's not my lips but better shade, it's a my muted lip shade. It's stay for 2-3 hours and not easily transfer to anything.

Vanilly : bright red with almost matte finish. It's silky and packed with good color pay off. I can swipe it with my finger to get a fresh look and build the color with lip brush to make it more opaque. It's stay for 3-4 hours on me.

Vanilly on my lips.

Milly on my lips

_______________________________________________________________

Overall, it's a very versatile palette, in good price. It's very recommended for day and night use. It's retailed for $39.5 in the Balm site (and in my blog sale if you're interested) but it's limited edition so get your hand quickly if you want to.

Another story to share with you is.. I used to in love with Nars heart New York set ($75, including palette, lip gloss and nail polish) but when i read in temptalia, i found that most of the eye shadow, blush and highlighter's dupe is also available in my rockstar palette! crazy! I wouldn't get it, and will loving my rockstar palette more ^______________^

Benefit Box O'Powder Hervana : Review and Swatch

Benefit Hervana, yes.

Ummm .. Where do i have to start? I believe most of you has been heard about Benefit Box O'Powder in Hervana. It's kinda popular in Blogosphere, so many beauty blogger has wrote about it. I'm just another one :D

Nonetheless, i'd re-writing what you might already knew .. Hervana was named as abbreviation of Her and Nirvana. Meanwhile, wearing this blush supposed to make you looks like you're in Nirvana.. Good idea, but i don't think it would work for everyone. Let see why.

Ah, my little dog featured in this pic X))

Benefit Box O'Powder in Hervana came in the same cardboard box, like the other box o'powders do.
But Hervana's top part is stay attached with the bottom part, and it also has mirror inside.
Pic of the insider is below.

Among the benefit box o'powders that i have, Benefit Hervana's brush is my favorite. It's angled and fluffy, unlike the old type which stratchy and very thin. It's also able to pick up pigments very well.

Hervana retailed for $28 and contains of 0.28 ounces of product. It's might be the most expensive one compared to Cargo, Tarte or Nars' blushes.

Hervana has 4 different shades : lucky shell, divine peach, heavenly rose and berry delight. Each shade has 2/8 part of pinwhile design. Each of them are kinda small so it's hard to use each shade alone. However, it makes them easier to combine.

From left to right : lucky shell, divine peach, heavenly rose, berry delight, all shades together.

Okay, i'm not providing the best swatch among the blogosphere. They're very hard to swatched alone, i hope you can get what i mean. Swatch has been done over Illamasqua light liquid foundation in LF 210 because it has the stronger pink undertone among my foundation.

Below, i provided better pic of all the shades blended together :

Benefit Hervana is a warm pink with peachy undertone. The finish will be satin with very subtle shimmer.

As we all know (i assumed everyone has seen my swatch above), Hervana is very soft in pigmentation, means if you're darker than me (i'm using revlon colorstay in sand beige, for reference) it would really hard to shown. And even you're in the same shade with me, you'll need a natural blush brush to apply this. Luckily, Hervana's brush is suit that criteria.. The first blush brush that really works!

Because it's smooth and low in pigmentation, it's only stay about 5-6 hours on my skin. I wouldn't say that's very bad, because i adoring color they create together on me.. it gives me a natural but lovely flushed i haven't get from another blush.

.. And Hervana is scented. The first time, i feel it's strongly scented. But now, it's lower. And the scent doesn't transfer to your skin. At least it's not disturbing me.

I think it would last kinda long. Even if i need 2-3 swipes to make it shown better, it contains of 8g of product, means i wouldn't hit its pan in short time :p

Thanks for reading my review! ^^
Oh, if you wanna check how's Hervana compared with Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed and The Balm Instains Powder Blush in Houndstooth, you can find it here :)

Looking for a Good Powder? Try Tarte Provocateur Pressed Mineral Powder SPF 8.

I'm so happy with my new find, it's so pretty, has a good value and works amazing!

Actually, i bought it by accident. I wasn't mean to buy anything, so when it's arrived, i left it in my back up box and forget about it. I don't even trying to search a review about it, i just left it there.

Then i read someone said it works amazing. I have my benefit hello flawless powder (from How to Look Best at Everything kit, reviewed here) but since it's not in travel friendly side, i need something else. Benefit dandelion is great, but has no coverage and too bulky.

Long story short, i tried Tarte Provocateur Pressed Mineral Powder and fell in LOVE. I like all my previous powder, but never ever fall in love like i do to Tarte's. I have a very oily skin and it does help to make my skin less oily. Feels like it's melted to my skin, make my skin but better version. And you know what, it's come in Perfect Shade. As i said, i never trying to find any information about it, so i dont know what shade would suit me best, and it's just like perfect.

Before going to picture, i'd let you know that mine is in sample size (0.45g) so maybe it's not like the full size item you've seen in store or any where. And i've checked Tarte's web, i can't find any pressed powder with SPF 8. But found it in sephora.com. I wonder if tarte powderful mineral pressed powder are the same.

going to description in sephora :
What it is:
A mineral-based pressed powder.

What it does:
Tarte Provocateur Pressed Mineral Powder is a whisperlight mineral pressed powder that allows skin to breathe while treating it with soothing vitamins and minerals and protecting it with SPF 8.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Synthetic Fragrances
- Synthetic Dyes
- Petrochemicals
- Phthalates

What else you need to know:
This powder contains Skinvigorating™ ingredients vitamins A and E, antioxidants that fight free radical damage, and mineral pigments, known for soothing and softening properties.
Suggested Usage:
-Using Tarte's Kabuki Brush gently buff directly onto skin or over foundation for heavier coverage.

Ingredients:

5% Titanium Dioxide, 6% Zinc Oxide.

Polyethylene, HDI/Trimethylol Hexylacetone Crosspolymer, Tricaprylin Nylon-12, Boron Nitride, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Magnesium Myristate, Lanolin Alcohol, Isopropyl Myristate, Isopropyl Palmitate, Retinyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tocopherol Imdazolidinyl Urea. (+/-): Mica, Bismuth Oxychloride, Iron Oxides, Ultramarines, Manganese Violet, Chromium Oxide Greens, Chromium Hydroxide Green.

Since mine is in sample size, it's only covered by cardboard with magnetic flap. No complaints here, since it's very travel friendly.
I love the sewing design, and i think the full sized one has a prettier packaging but also bulkier.

0.15 oz is basically about half of full size product (0.28oz).
It does contains SPF 8, a nice add, even if it's not really help. But i doesn't need higher SPF number in my powder since it could add white cast on picture.

Like all product from Tarte, it doesnt contains of parabens, petro chemical, phtalate, sulfate, glycol, fragrance, oil, gluten, dye and talc. I think those make it safetier for sensitive skin like mine. You can check the complete ingredient list on Sephora description above ^^

Above is how the insider look like.
A mirror would be good but it also add some weight.

Swatch above was taken under low sun light.
Can you get what i mean? It's also not in matte shade, just lovely natural.

I also took another picture under heavier sun light. Very lovely, i'd say again.
I usually use it with ecotools retractable kabuki brush, which nicely pick up the pigment and take a good amount of product.

It's definately Holy Grail product, not less.
Have you find your HG powder?
what's that? :)

Hiruscar, a Story.

You know, i have a very acne prone skin, and so i have lots lots and lots of acne scar. This is the main reason i rarely post my FOTD in my blog, beside the fact that i want it to be a place to post my beauty collection only.

Sometimes, my face isn't that bad. I got several months of a very good condition, and it's going bad again. Perhaps, it's because of the product i tried, or the environment, or just my hormone.

I was in a bus, somewhere in Hongkong at the first time i saw an media advertising of Hiruscar. I don't remember exactly about that ads, but all i know is i need to go to the nearest Watson from my uncle's place to get this. Long story short, i got a tube, brought it home, tried it and love it. Oh and i asked my cousin to get some extra backups when she went to HK a month later.

Now, for my condition. That time, i also bought some Meiji Amino Collagen (which i never write a review about, but you might have heard about it) as i think some collagen would be good for me. I drank it a spoon a day, religiously, for several months together with my hiruscar. And you know, i got an amazing result. Most of my acne scar are faded and the other areas are getting better. Do i need to say i'm loving this combo? :D

Then i started to realize i got some extra cute little pimple everyday. As i stated above, i know i have an acne prone skin, and it's not a new thing for me. But i do some research (google-d) and i think it's because of collagen i consumed. Then i only drank collagen every two or three days. And i stopped using Hiruscar religiously.. Oh well, i know it was my fault.

I was trying to use Hiruscar again, but it never works as it used to be. Maybe because i'm stopped consuming Collagen or what. But i'm still continue using my backups (the last tube, btw) and hoping for a good result.

Some picture you ask? Here they're :)

I think this packaging are the old one, or this one is for HK region? Dunno.

The product i have is made in Thailand.

They also included a broschure about Hiruscar, it's function, and how long do you need to removing a scar. For example, you need a month for surgery's scar and 3-6 months of use for acne scar.

I think it's also depend on kind of scar you have and how bad they're. But now, as long as i know, Hiruscar also have another version for post acne scar only and maybe it's more effective.

The ingredients, if you're care about them.

It doesn't contains of parabens, but has DMDM hydantoin instead. And there's fragrance stated in the latest part, but i never got any scent at all.

The tube is sealed with something aluminium like, and it can easily stick with the stick on it's cap.

Hiruscar has a gel texture, no scent (which i've mentioned above) and completely transparent so you can use it day and night without any problem. It tooks several minutes to be absorbed and i usually use it after toner (in "essence" level).

Even if it doesnt work as well as it used to be, it's still doing some help for the new acne scar. If i use it right after i pinch my acne (stop do it!!!), it would help to make my scar gone in 3-7 days.

I wouldn't repurschase, but will try the post acne version later.

Revlon ColorStay for Oily & Combination Skin in "Sand Beige", a late review.

Hello Blogosphere!

I know it's kinda late for another Revlon ColorStay review. While everyone already move to Revlon Whipped Cream and or Nearly Naked version, i'm stick with the ColorStay one.

But still, i think all of them are different and have their own fans right?

Revlon ColorStay is one of my very first foundation. I bought it about March last year (2012) and i haven't finish even half bottle! And it's only contains 30ml of product, like many foundation out there.

Right, i need to review this one before the product going to be expired X))

it's must be very familiar if you have revlon counter near you ..
The bottle is made from heavy glass while the cap is made from sturdy plastic.

The only active ingredients is titanium dioxide 7.3% which is for sun protection purpose.
However, i never think SPF 6 is enough for your skin. And it's add a slight white cast on your skin.

Revlon ColorStay only have a big hole under it's cap. Nothing else.

It's greasy and not hygienic if you care about that, and impractical.

So there is the product!
Mine is in Sand Beige. The SA just saw my skin in few second and decided this shade is for me. Sometimes it's kinda too white, but when lightly applied, it's works really well.

As you can see in my picture, it does blended so well on my inside arm. Below, i provided my reader with a before - after look to give you idea about coverage :

I'm not confidence enough to post my face before and after here, so i show you the before-after look of my birth marks. They're not that bad, and located on the opposite of my left elbow arm.

I applied Revlon ColorStay heavily and that's the result. Not bad, eh?
And it's stay the whole day on my face, only faded after i wash my face. For a foundation, it has a pretty nice oil control, but i'm still need to prepare my face in manner before wearing this.

I'm kinda like this foundation, but i'm mostly use it for special ocassion because i don't want a medium to full coverage foundation for my daily look, but i will not repurchase it. There's so many foundation i need to try, LOL.
