B.Liv Off With Those Heads, back of bottle
 Precautions :
it's normal to have more oil secreted during initial period
those with sensitive skin may experience mild stinging sensation

I have an oily, sensitive skin.
I don't think my nose area produce more oil during use, so i don't face the first precaution. As the second one, the stinging sensation only happened at the first use.
I suggest for first use, use thin layer first. Then as at least one full pump needed for each use, do layer it. Later, when you feel totally fine, use one-two full pump for nose area.
Use it twice a day.

B.Liv off with those heads has a small-hole pump. Very practical i'd say.
The bottle itself is made from sturdy-feel plastic.

If your ever stalking in my blog, you'd know that i never ever use pore pack at least since i do blogging. I hate pore pack, they're NOT helping me. Well, pore pack only cleaned my blackhead for about 2-3 days. On 4th days, i need to use it again because i have too many new blackheads already.
Later i knew, i have to have a mask after pore pack. Impractical. I stick into clay mask ever since.

B.Liv Off with Those Heads is a whole new new new experience for us, people.
No pore pack, no steaming, no squeezing, no masking, very practical.
Use 1-2 pump on nose twice a day after cleanser. Let it dry (took a while, i use it while using moisturizer or benzoyl peroxide to another area) and continue to sunscreen. It has temporary cooling effect which i think very pleasant.
You wouldn't notice the difference until you see your own before-after picture.

Yes i was skeptical at first, i don't think it would work. Well i've read about the believe-ing philosophy but still.. i watch my blackhead everyday, wondering if it would really work.

I started using it at August 13th, took "before" pic right before my first use. My blackhead looks terrible! *i've warned you before!!!* But, at least it's only on my nose. I used to have some on my inner cheek area too, when i was in college. I thought pore pack is the culprit (opened my pore and won't close it back) so no reason to continue using pore pack.

my blackhead, and my enlarged pores *sigh*
So you think it's not bad?
Here's how it look, CLOSER.
Prepare yourself.

my blackhead, closer
fyi, my nose was having redness caused by another skincare i tried before.
Not just my nose, my whole face was terrible. Thankfully it's gone after third days.

So sorry i wouldn't provide the picture of whole process, but in first week, i almost doesn't notice anything. Nothing changes.

and here's how it look after 14 days :

my nose, yay!

Well, so sorry for blurry pic.. It was taken after skincare (yes, after b.liv off with those heads).
I know it's not 100% clear, there are some that i think soooooo far under my skin, and truly hard to get rid of. But most of them are gone without hurt. I'll continus using this, hopefully in several weeks it would be better. Will update here in 2-3 weeks.

Checking their benefit's claim :
  • Removes blackheads and whiteheads - not all of them, but mostly YES
  • Keeps acne under control - haven't experience any breakout on my nose during use
  •  Controls oil - yes
  • Unclogs pores - yes, no more blackhead
  •  Provides a gentle exfoliation - supposed so
  • Has soothing and hydrating properties - my nose seems really great, like i do using primer (which i am not)
.. And you know how sensitive my skin is. It's been better since early Augustus but i still need to choose my skincare carefully. This baby hasn't raise any allergy nor breakout reaction. While my nose is not 100% blackhead free, it's texture getting so much better. It's silky smoooootttth ~^^

B.Liv off with those head is an amazing product. I know the price is high but i think it's worth :)

Don't forget to be patience and faithful ^^~

UPDATE MARCH 2015
I've been tried it over and over again. Once i stop using B.Liv and rely on BHA for my black head, but BHA only works for Blackhead (it's almost clear now) but i still have whitehead in crazy amount. When i'm back using BHA AND B.Liv, both gone.
I'm still using B.Liv twice a day, half a pump in each use, otherwise, in 2 days i'd get crazy amount of white head x____x
So yes, i suggest to continue using B.Liv and combine with any other skincare of yours :)

Two of My Illamasqua Powder Blushers

You know how much i love my Illamasqua powder blush in Lover, and you might have read my review for Illamasqua powder blusher in Tremble. So today i'd post a short comparison review about them ^^~

Talking about packaging, i have to admit that Illamasqua is playing around the same design for most of their product.
It's really good to help customers identify their product, but could it be better quality?
I love my blushers and i want to carry them anywhere without worry.
up : tremble, below : lover
If you have many blushes, the clear lid help you to find which one is which.

tremble and lover, heavy swatch

Tremble and Lover, well blended

From Web description, it's clear they're so different.
Lover is soft apricot while Tremble is soft lilac pink

Tremble is much more dupe-able (i cant give you any dupe suggestion though) but if you're craving for Illamasqua's powder blushers quality, go get it.
Lover brighten my complexion in much better way i never think an orange blush will.

Both of them are easy to blend, soft, buildable and best of all : last long.
Illamasqua succesfully set a new standard for my blushers ^^~
Oh how i wish Illamasqua will enter in Indonesian market!

have a nice day~

Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Jelly Water Based SPF 30 PA +++

Biore Sunscreen is one of my all-time favorite. Lucky i found it in Indonesian drugstore (just once, i haven't seen it again yet) and the price is not so different with their price in outside Indonesia. In Malaysia, i believe it's about RM 33 and in Japan (according to websites), is about JPY 800. Here i bought it for about IDR 97,000 so it's pratically almost the same.

Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Jelly Water Based SPF 30 PA +++
90ml
about IDR 97,000

I believe there's some sort of information on the box written in Bahasa. But sadly, i've thrown it away so i am left with Japanese explanation only. Image above is click-able so if you can read Japanase, hopefully it's helpful.

I did some googling and found ingredient list from beautycabby.com :
Water, alcohol, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate, dimethicone, xylitol, acrylates/C10-30 acrylate crosspolymer, lauryl methacrylate/sodium methacrylate crosspolymer, cyclopentasiloxane, titanium dioxide, polyglyceryl-3 polydimethylsiloxyethyl dimethicone, agar, behenyl alcohol, microcrystalline wax, polyvinyl alcohol, ceratonia siliqua gum, sodium stearoxy PG-hydroxyethylcellulose sulfonate, maltodextrin, sodium hyaluronate, grapefruit fruit extract, lemon extract, orange fruit extract, butylene glycol, propylene glycol, potassium hydroxide, phenoxyethanol, disodium EDTA, BHT, fragrance.

The main active ingredient is ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate which is chemical sunscreen filters. It is water soluble, degrades overtime when exposed to sunlight (therefore is not the most photostable), FDA approved. It works to block UV B.

Second main active ingredient is Diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate which also chemical sunscreen filters but it works absorbing UV A rays. It is photostable, and compatible to be use with another UV filters.
It is unstated, but hopefully this can help main ingredient to be more stable.

I am not sure if the scent in product is caused by fragrance in ingredient list, since it stated at very last. Product does have minor fruity scent, but maybe it's because grapefuit, lemon and orange extract.

Biore using small hole dropper like almost every sunscreen from them which supposed to help you measure the amount of product you want to use. However, since it's texture is "watery jelly" which in my opinion is fluid jelly, sometimes this kind of dropper still leaking too much product out of control.

Be careful if you bring it in your bag. Always makes sure to open it carefully and prepare for the worst.

product, fresh out from the bottle

softly blended

completely blended

I love how it's feel on my skin, i even use it in my face and body. It's light, easy to absorb and not greasy at all. It has zero coverage and no oil control of course, but it makes a good primer too.
The finish is natural, not matte, not shiny. And as far as i concerns, it doesn't white cast.

I use it on my face and body. It is the only sunscreen that works well on both, so big yay!

My bottle is nearly empty and i've search it to some drugstores but haven't found it again. Will repurchase once i got a chance.

Bless Acne Series : Cleansing Foam & Tonic

Before talking about review, i wanna share you my story with Bless' Promotion Executive (not sure if it's okay to write her name here, so i will just refer her as "PE"), which i think is a pleasant experience. Ooh but if you think my babbles are unbearable, please skip and go ahead to product review.. I am fine :)

That thay, she was email me whether i wanna try their new Healthy Glow Foundation. Me, having so much trouble with my skin not sure if it's okay to endorse a product i know wouldn't be good with my sensitive skin. But still, new product is always makes me tempting. So i replied, asking if it's okay for oily, sensitive and acne prone skin. The PE said even Healthy Glow Foundation is light and safe for daily use, they wouldn't recommend it for acne skin. But they do offer if i wanna try their Acne Series. Of course i said YES (i tempted for any help, my skin is that bad that time). However, i still wanna try the new light foundation, and think i wanna get it once i get better.

And then the package's coming with not only the Acne cleansing foam and tonic, but also sample from many product (will review one by one, some i've reviewed are : Bless Sunscreen lotion SPF 19, and Bless Sensitive Skin Series). And they also put a sample of Healthy Glow Foundation in! Hurrryaaah~

I am so sorry i forgot to move picture of product came in, but here's the catalogue they sent me too :

seriously, i think the gift card is voucher *LOL*

sweet ~ feel so touched that they do care
Originally, i wasn't mean to write about behind-the-scene story about me and the company but i was so disappointed by some company that i visited. Think about service and everything! Well it's for another time i guess. But in short, i am easier to hurt for bad company act and harder to be pleased. In the other hand, i am trying to served better. Not just in my blog, of course.

.................................. Continue to product review ...................................

Acne Cleansing Foam
50ml (IDR 34,500), 100ml (IDR 51,000)

Acne Cleansing Tonic
60ml (IDR 33,500)

I am happily inform you, bless.co.id has 17% off for set purchased.
Period ended at August 30th 2014.

Acne Cleansing Foam

Riched with Vitamin E, cleaning and moisturizing face. Bless Acne Cleansing Foam is a cleanser with pH balance, it's guarding stability of skin barrier without causing irritation. Bless Acne Cleansing Foam has anti bacterial properties to help prevent acne.

ingredient list

Contains of SLS, Fragrance and Parabens.
Okay, i was told that cleanser's ingredient are not too important since it doesn't last long on your skin.

But i have to told you that the fragrance is noticeable. It's floral and sometimes remind me of old chilhood days. I just don't remember what it smells like.

BLESS Acne Cleansing Foam

Now i am nearly finish my tube and i can give you a review for it.

First, it's never cause me breakout. Not in my hard days, not in my better days. No extra blackhead found. So i would say it's safe.
Second, even it's in cream form, it doesn't produce too much foam therefore it doesn't drying your skin. The result after cleansing is not so clean feeling but when i check using cotton pad and toner, no dirt left.
Third, i've checked the pH number and i got number 5.5 and as far as i know, it's good for cleanser.

Acne Cleansing Tonic

is a cleanser and refreshner that can refresh acne skin and help to prevent oil from acne skin. Contains of salicylic acid that functioned as antiseptic, anti fungi, and stimulating new skin growth.

It is suggested to use with cotton pad, but i haven't tried it. I always pour to my bare hand, and pat around my face.

Talking about packaging, it is small and made from plastic. But the closure is tight and totally safe. I never experience leaking accident with it.
The product is pink (yes, PINK) but on my hand it's only sheer pink.

ingredients

Well. It's also has Fragrance in second last, but not offensive. The scent gone once you put the product on your face.
It does smells alcoholic a lil bit since it's contains of ethanol too.

I am still having 1/4 product even i use it everyday and sometimes even add it to my back acne (refreshing, really).

As the Cleansing Foam, it doesn't cause me breakout at all. And being an awesome, it's also help in oil control department (normal skin may found it drying though).
As bonus, it's also drying acne! WOW!

In short, i like it but there's not enough acne healing properties so i need to use separate acne lotion/cream. And it does stinging if touched to wounded area.

Personally i add benzoyl peroxide cream with them and i think the result is nice. BUT i don't know which one is the workhorse.
Between them, if you want to feel an instant effect, consider to pick the Tonic. At least you can feel the oil control side instantly. For long term effect, take both.
And benzoyl peroxide of couse, LOL

Happy Indonesian Independence Day!!

** sponsored post but i keep my honest review.

Swatched : Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Tremble

After a lots of love for Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Lover (wanna read it? here), of course i need another blush from them right?

Well, i bought the one in Tremble, which described by Illamasqua as "soft lilac pink, matte finish".

 Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Tremble
4.5g / 0.15 oz
£21.50
price per 10g £40.00

ingredient list on back of box

shade name, back of product
The packaging as usual, is plastic black with no mirror. The closure have clear, see-through part.

This packaging from Illamasqua is fragile. Many people has experienced broken product, Fortunately not me. I always keep it safe, and most of the time, left it home so nothing dangerous would attack her.

blusher's pan
In pan, it's not-so-cool pink. I wouldn't judge Illamasqua blusher by it's cover.. Well see Lover, so unattractive in pan but turn to be so deliciously amazing on cheeks (from what i heard, mostly happen to NC 25-30 skintone).

So, How's Tremble?
Is it amazing?

swatch  Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Tremble

.. Truthfully, yes it's a pretty shade. It's gives you a pretty flush. The color is safe enough for daily use.
Also, being illamasqua's blusher, the texture is lovely. Easy to blend, buildable and last long! What else do you need?

I wish my next blusher would be Naked Rose, also from the same range <3 span="">
anyone wanna sponsoring? :p

Citra Light Touch White Nutri Serum Japanese Wakame

Hellow in August!

There's funny story behind my purchase of Citra Nutri Serum Japanese Wakame.
I've told you before that i prefer to have the lotion gel version rather than this (read my review of Citra Japanese Wakame Lotion Gel here) but here's why i finally bought it.

That is Saturday when i realized that it's nearly empty, so i decided to bought another one that night when i was in Mall Bali Galeria. After a quick glanze into the cashiers, make sure that i wouldn't queue-ing for so long, i went inside Hypermart and quicky to body lotion section. I found this Nutri Serum version but not the lotion gel one so i ask to the Unilever's advisor near there, and here's the conversation :
Me : Mbak (Miss in Indonesian), where's the lotion gel version of japanese wakame?
Adv : It's out of stock. There's only one box came, and it's quickly sold out.
Me : (took the nutri serum, not sure if i want it)
---- a teenager beside me quickly said (not sure if she's talk to me or not, but there's only me and the Advisor near there) : The Nutri Serum is gooood, i like it. Very quick to absorb, and feel so sooooooft~

Well i am speechless, so smiled politely and get going with the Nutri Serum.

This kind of story also happened when i was in Papaya, also in Saturday night.
I was not sure if i want the Takesumi Shokupan (plain bread with bamboo charcoal) so i ask my Father who came with me, "What do you think about this, Dad?" Only he's not so close to me, so i raised my voice up. Before my Dad speak an answer, there's a young mom near me who said "Takesumi Shokupan is delicious. Love it." Just it and she went to her toddler who running inside the store.

Again, dunno what to say. I ended up bought that black bread too.

What's with Saturday night and Me? LOL
Hang in, if you're that teenager or that young mom, thank you. I love both product you girls recommend ^___^

Sooo into the review now...

Citra Light Touch White Nutri Serum Japanese Wakame
180ml
IDR 23,000 - 28,000

The tube is made from almost-clear plastic so it gave you extra pleasure of seeing the product insde. I adore it!

Concerning about ingredients?
Well, take a note that it does smell stronger than Lotion Gel version because it use more Fragrance (4th on the list) but has no Dimethicone Crosspolymer.
Also it's contains of Phenoxyethanol, which could raise you allergy.

I new the latest fact when i read Lintang's blog (randomandquick.blogspot.com). Most of body lotion in Supermarket has it.
If you're prone to allergy, make sure to clean your skin before reapplying.
I have allergic to seafood and egg, and it does help raising my itchiness if i doesn't clean my skin before reapplying the product (not just this, anything with phenoxyethanol).

This one feels thinner than lotion gel, absorb faster and have stronger scent than the lotion gel version. And i think i could see the brightening effect too.

In my opinion, the nutri serum version is better than lotion gel one, IF you could take stronger scent (not offensive though) and if you like the price. Lotion gel is about IDR 12,000/120ml and about 19,000-23,000 per 240ml make it less than IDR 100,-/ml while Nutri Serum cost about IDR 150,-/ml.

However, i think i'd repurchase both of them since they're sooo goooood..
^___^

Have you tried it? If you're not, get it fast. Highly recommended.
